Lounge Epitomized,
By Bryant Phillips (Seattle, WA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mystery in a Cup of Tea (Audio CD)
Here's a group that does all the little things right: their name perfectly represents their sensual laissez-faire vibe. The title of the album presents an attractive frame of mind for listening. And the music itself is polished, instantly appealing, and perfect for most any time you need to relax.I'm a little surprised no one has reviewed this album yet, as I have listened to both this and Basement Music and find this the clear favorite. While it does tend to get a little "too" smooth, and at times you wish for the rhythm to throw you a curve or at least not progress so predictably, this is a small complaint. I've heard it said that this brand of downtempo is best suited for rainy days. I say: why wait for one? |
