Read & Then Study The Prophecies For Yourself.,
By
This review is from: The Mystery of Iniquity (Paperback)
I can but agree with most of the reviewers here. Ultimately, if Michael Rood is wrong in his interpretation about the Rapture, and the Rapture occurs either pre or mid-tribulation, then true Christian believers have nothing to lose. If the author is right however, and the Rapture occurs towards the end of the Tribulation, then Christians everywhere owe it to themselves to have been made aware of his interpretation. Some of what the author covers in relation to Biblical prophecy and it's interpretation to date has bothered me previously. His coverage of such clarifies a number of matters for me personally. I can only recommend this book to ALL scholars and Christians who are seeking the truth surrounding Biblical Prophecy, the Rapture and the return of Our Lord Jesus. We must all be accountable to search the Scriptures ourselves whilst seeking prayerful insight to the truth. I would hate not to have read this book. Being prepared, in full possession of the facts so that we are not going to be deceived in that day is essential. If you read this book and disagree with the message and interpretation, then that is a matter for the individual. But we do really owe it to ourselves to be aware of what the author is saying here.

He who has ears to hear...,
By Kaley Baker (Battle Ground, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Mystery of Iniquity (Paperback)
This book will not create dull conversations over dinner; that I guarantee. People reading this book will love it or hate it depending upon their beliefs regarding Israel's place in prophecy and the rapture. In today's 'church' there are people who believe God's calling is irrevocable and that he will restore Isreal and that the gentile arm of His body is grafted into the commonwealth of Israel (Romans 11), and there are people who think God has scrapped Israel and is now working with everyone else but Israel. The latter group will hate this book because it is based upon God's restoration of Israel and His fulfillment of the prophecies embedded in the fall feasts of the Lord. Those coming from the essentially Catholic mainstream American church steedped in anti-Semitism and replacement theology will find it offensive. Those familiar with the prophetic fulfillment of the Biblical spring feasts and the prophetic promises embedded in the Biblical fall feasts will have mind candy a plenty. Besides a person's understanding of God's irrevocable covenant with Israel, is his or her belief in a rapture. Those who believe in a get-out-of-persecution-free rapture card will be incensed at the conclusions that Michael Rood draws. I guess when I read scriptures telling me not to be surprised at the fiery ordeals among us and that when we are delivered up to death (by people thinking they are doing service to God) not to be afraid, I somehow get the idea that there's a possiblity the church may face some troubling times. Certainly the church in Somalia and the Sudan have found this to be true. Knowing this, reading the history of deliverance God has recorded in Scripture builds my faith. He didn't majestically transport the children of Israel in the promised land; they had to trust Him for it. When they whined and complained and didn't believe Him for it and yearned to return to Egypt, He made them take another lap. When the next generation made it into the land, He didn't destroy the Caananites, He made His children fight for their promised land. They possessed the land little by little. When God judged the world with water, He didn't zap Noah out of the world. Rather Noah was safely ensconced in God's covenant while everyone else was taken out. It's worth considering whether these things point to God's character in judgement of the world and deliverance of His people... The material in this book will be so far out there for people that are neither familiar with the Biblical feasts or the idea that we might have to lay down our lives for our beliefs, that it may be very scary. But some will prefer a warning that spurs them on to call upon the Lord in a day when He may be found. Whether this book is flaky may be a conversation to be tabled until we stand before the Lord doing a post-mortem on the tribulation. The tone of Mr. Rood's book will offend those who take issue with the points he makes, but that is pretty standard when talking about such emotionally charged beliefs. The book will not provoke a neutral response, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This review is from: The Mystery of Iniquity (Paperback)
I rarely underline/highlight the books I read, mainly Non-Fiction, and have quite a library myself thanks to working as a used book dealer. Many sit on my shelves going unread...(so many books, so little time)...this book is the exception. I've hi-lighted my favorite parts that i want to read and re-read, to let it sink in. I only mark in books I plan on getting more copies of, to give away/loan to friends and family. I've read escatalogical books since I was 10 or so, and few books have impacted me like The Mystery of Iniquity. Upon reading this book I was blown away/thrown for a loop. Aside from the Holy Bible, it's one of the best I've ever read! Get several copies!!! Nuff said.Charlie,

Finally the TRUTH!,
By Chris Hinote (Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Mystery of Iniquity (Paperback)
Rood explains in detail the TRUTH about the Lord's return and he comes from a Hebrew perspective which is very important since Jesus was a Jew. The culture of Jews reveals so much of the mystery which Paul in his epistles talks about. Furthermore I am glad to see someone stepping out on faith in Christ and showing the courage to take a unpopular stand when so much of the Evangelical community believes in the lie of Pre-Tribulation Rapture. After all anyone who reads the Bible from cover to cover and his a true Christian with the Holy Spirit living in him/her they could see that Christ as well as Paul and Peter and John point to one return of Christ not two. I am saddened that many blindly believe the teaching built on one verse in 1 Thess 4 which is taken out of context and an idea that didn't come around until about 150 years ago. You are always supposed to interpret scripture with scripture and within the context of the whole book and culture and who it was written to. Many fail to do that and take two words "caught up" and build a doctrine on it. I encourage anyone who is a Christian and wants to know the truth to pray sincerely ask God to reveal the Truth to them. After all Jesus said that those who worship God must worship Him in Spirit and in TRUTH! This is a Great Book to get the Truth!

Well Written, and Explained,
By S. Zimmerman (WA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Mystery of Iniquity (Paperback)
I read this book about 3 times. It is well written. It explains into great detail the prophetic events that will happen shortly. I would recommend this book to anyone who is "pre-trib" so that they may gain a better understanding of what the Bible does say regarding the feasts as foreshadowings of the things to come. Every thing in the Torah was a representation of everything that will happen, that has happened and what is happening in our world today. There are so many prophecy(s) in the old testament that people generally do not know of, not just in "Revelation" but in even the old testament, that correlate to the book of Revelation, it gives it a "back-up" if you will! It would be a terrible thing to go through life being ignorant of truth...ignorance is not bliss...not when it comes down to the wire! Read this book, and let Michael be used by the Almighty to open your eyes, and roll down those scales upon them!

Dispensational Theology Exposed,
By Shelley R. Hernandez (Port Charlotte, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Mystery of Iniquity (Paperback)
This study by Michael John Rood exposes the many deceptions of dispensational theology. As the Christian community is bombarded by a few outspoken proponents who separate Israel and the "church", this work speaks for many who realize the scriptures are a whole, not to be separated into "dispensations". This is a solid, precept upon precept study which exposes the deceptions the "church" has embraced. I highly recommend the Mystery of Iniquity, and applaud M.J. Rood for his accurate handling of the scriptures from the Hebrew perspective.

The Mystery of Iniquity By the formost expert!!!,
By mark miller (kuna, idaho USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Mystery of Iniquity (Paperback)
Michael Rood is the formost authority in the area of Hebrew history as it relates to Messianic understanding of the times we are living in! His eloquent mannerisms can be appreciated not only in his writings but even more in person. I have had the pleasure to hear him speak and recommend any of his materials and heart. Let it be known this man has been there and done that and is not only honored in America but in the Land of Israel and everywhere he goes.

Required reading for all Christians!,
By
This review is from: The Mystery of Iniquity (Paperback)
If you only buy one more book this year buy this one. The bible was suposed to help us not confuse us. Us American Christians have been trying to understand bible prophecy without the basic knowledge to figure anything out. It's like saying you going to compose some music but have only heard your child bang on pots and pans to use as your guide and then your music never seems to sound good or make any sense at all. This should be taught to all believers and nonbelivers BEFORE we get all messed up learning our pagen customs from an early age. God intended for you to know the signs and the seasons, thats why there in the bible in the first place, Y'shua (Jesus) will come as a thief in the night to the slothfull or lazy pew sleeper paying his 10% religion tax waiting for heaven. The ones who seek the truth and know the signs will not be caught sleeping or sinning on that great day. Buy this book. It is very hard to put down. And Michael Rood backs everything up with the Bible or the Torah so you can check his work. He has an understanding of the Jewish ways of life and can give us gentiles a much better perspective that even the King James can. This truth in this book has set me free. Finally free! And it just keeps getting better.[...]

Michael Rood's teaching is heresy...,
By
This review is from: The Mystery of Iniquity (Paperback)
...as much as Paul's was. See for yourself: "But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they Acts 24:14 (KJV) If you read the chapter, you'll see Paul was teaching on the resurrection contrary to the view held by those that called him a heretic. This is a remarkable coincidence considering Michael Rood's book deals with the resurection as well, also contrary to the status quo and he is labeled a heretic! History repeats itself since human nature remains the same... This book demonstrates in yet another area the Scriptural truth of Revelation 12:9 that Satan deceives the whole world (yes, Christians are included in the whole world, as are Jews, Muslims, Atheists, etc.). Stated in common vernacular: "If the majority of people believe a certain way, most likely you can count on that NOT being the way it is." You see, most believe Yahshua can return at any moment, ostensibly to rescue "the Church" out of the Great Tribulation (and what's that resurrection for if all the past Christians are already in heaven, right?). Without knowing another Scripture besides Revelation 12:9, one should bet on that being incorrect since everyone believes it. Fortunately, we also have the rest of Scripture which speaks in detail on the prerequisites and timing of the Messiah's return to reign and resurrect the righteous. Mystery of Iniquity rightly divides the word of truth on this important subject. Look elsewhere if you do not want anything as unimportant as the facts to get in the way of your lifestyle. (Which in itself should raise a red flag that the popular teaching is a deception: what are the fruits of it?) Yahshua of Nazareth taught us that narrow is the gate that leads to life, and few find it, but rather most find the wide gate leading to destruction. There are 2 billion Christians...that's a pretty wide gate. For those wanting to leave the teachings of men and find the narrow gate found only in Scripture, I would consider this book a MUST HAVE if your discernment is not good enough already to see that Scripture does not agree with what the churches teach. Other books in that category would include "Fossilized Customs" by Lew White and "What is Repentence" by Ben Rubin.
