5.0 out of 5 stars More than a book - It's a guide to LIFE!, April 28, 2000
By
This review is from: The Mystery of Marriage (Teachings of Kabbalah) (Hardcover)
I have read several books on marriage. Basically, all of them talk about happiness and overcoming petty squabbles. This one however is different... MUCH different. It discusses marriage from a deep and meaningful point of view. It delves into what the Torah, G-d's instructions for living, says about this concept and how each spouse can be an actual soul-mate to each other. Concepts such as Holiness, Sanctity, Marital Intimacy and even how to turn your home into a mini-Sanctuary is clearly explained. Guidelines of how to dwell, not only with your spouse, but with the Divine Presence itself is included in this fascinating work. Simply put, it's like no book you have ever read! With all concepts coming from Torah sources such as the Bible, Talmud and Kabbalah, this book teaches modern day people with timeless, holy concepts that are as applicable today as ever! Whether you are a Talmudic Scholar in Israel or just a beginner, whether you are Jewish or not, you will cherish the way Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh wrote this book and you will learn about marriage, peace, love, G-d and life itself!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Mysticism of Relationship, August 7, 2002

Mattisyahu (New York, NY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Mystery of Marriage (Teachings of Kabbalah) (Hardcover)
This book streams with insight on the spiritual path of marriage within the Jewish tradition. For example, I never dreamt of how meaningful and mystical the laws of "family purity" actually are, spiraling with each mikvah higher and higher into Redemption. I never realized that my marriage could be such a full kabbalistic meditation, just as it is. In Jewish mysticism, everyday life can be transformed into G*d-consciousness. We don't have to seek outside of our birth tradition when we have this knowledge. Many thanks to the author for collecting and creatively expressing (in English!) this transformative information.
