I'll cut right to the chase:1. The graphics are good except for when characters are depicted, and then they look like they were cut out of a magazine and pasted on the background. I was wondering why they had done so 2. The puzzles are way too easy. Not once did I have a difficult time solving any of them, which include a couple of sequencing and general mind-bender-types. Overall, the game can be completed in 2 hours or so. On my first try, I got through it in 2:20. 3. The collecting of items is by far the biggest downfall of this game. You go from room to room on the ship clicking a 100 things, which you collect, then when you go to the next room, for some reason you lose all the items you just collected. And none of the items can be combined in the inventory. Even after completing the game, I don't know why I had to click 15 items per room. You will spend a good deal of the game clicking EVERY OBJECT in each room. And the cursor doesn't change so it is boring. The one thing about this game that merits a positive response is the plot. I thought the game was an interesting premise, with a good ending. That made it ok, but other than that, the rest of the game is pretty terrible.

I ended up just quitting after a while out of boredom. There are a lot of other 'hidden object' games that are more interesting, and more challenging. If you went into every room and just clicked on anything obviously out of place, then you win to the next room. The objects aren't even really 'hidden', as they're mostly in plain sight. Once in a while the action (going to another room) is connected by some really silly dialog. Good idea, some nice graphics here and there, but they got lazy on the puzzle aspect.

The Mystery of the Mary CelesteThis game had an interesting premise about the mystery of the ship Mary Celeste. The game has good graphics and an interesting story line but that's about it. Puzzles were much too easy and some of the objects to locate were too tiny to locate. No challenge and very little suspense. And what's worse, it's extremely short. It appears that the game designers couldn't decide if this was a third or first person game. A far superior game for your money is Return to Ravenhearst.Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst
