The mystery of the princes,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Mystery of the Princes (Paperback)
This book is excellent - one of the best out there on the subject. If you are interested in The War of the Roses, Richard III and the mystery of the princes, I highly recommend this book. It is not a novel, but rather a recounting and assessing the facts of the years 1483-1485 as we know them. Ms. Williamson's style is very readable, and she cites some sources that were new to me. I have read the book several times since I got it.

can't stay awake,
This review is from: The Mystery of the Princes (Paperback)
I have read lots on this topic - Kendall, Ross, Gairdner, etc. - so I know the topic. This is one of the most tedious books I have ever read and it took me forever to get through it..I can not believe it won the Crime Writer's Association Gold Dagger award for nonfiction - was there no one who wrote an interesting book that year? This is a real mystery - one that will probably never be solved - it changed the course of English history - so it is exciting, important, interesting, and even - in the right writer's hands - thrilling. This was not the writer. |
