4.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss the chin puppet sketch on The Atomic Brain!, July 30, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Mystery Science Theater 3000 - Red Zone Cuba/Atomic Brain/I Accuse My Parents [VHS] (VHS Tape)
ATOMIC BRAIN IS HILLARIOS!!!!!! This is one of the best sets out there.(Exept for Poopie!) The only problem is Red Zone Cuba, which is not very funny at all (I dont know mabye it's just me). But watching Dr. Forrester getting beat up for a change is enjoyable. Jimmy, from I Acuse My Parents is not only "a gifted storyteller" from lying so much, he is possibly the dumbest person in any movie I've ever seen. Joel and the 'Bots never let up on Jimmy's mom, a middle aged lush, or Jimmy's dad, a gambling, drinking, cheating, filthy man, that, as Tom puts it, is "a talking corpse." Atomic Brain is my favorite episode ever! With one REALLY old lady, one guy named Victor, a scientist who does surgery on naked dead women ("Hey! She's NUDE!!"), a giant, furry Meatloaf/Stephen Stills kinda guy, and three "forgein" women with the worst fake accents ever! All in all, one of the true classics of MST3K.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything we have come to dread, November 29, 2001
This review is from: Mystery Science Theater 3000 - Red Zone Cuba/Atomic Brain/I Accuse My Parents [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The three movies in this MST collection are an interesting assortment of the things Americans used to fear most: juvenile delinquents, evil scientists, and commies. Plus farming and bad posture (in the shorts accompanying two of the movies).

I've commented on each episode more thoroughly on the individual videos' listings pages. As a combo-pack, these three episodes -- shows 507, 518, and 619 -- are great examples of MST3K in its mid-series years. They also include both Joel (507) and Mike (the others) as host, so nobody should feel slighted. In all, an excellent investment for bargain-minded MSTies.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 always makes me laugh. They are always funny so kick back and get ready to laugh your butt off. If you like one MST3000 film then you will most likely like them all.

5.0 out of 5 stars this is pure MST gold!, January 11, 1999

the best way to spend a dull night at home is to sit back and watch "red zone cuba". between the fact that it's a francis coleman flik is enough, but to hear david carradine sing the theme song "night train to mendo fine" is such a gas that i laughed til i choked. the cut scenes of "i accuse my parents" are a cretifiable riot too, just check out gypsy inthe blonde wig. WHOHOO!
