Another great episode of MST3K. People who haven't watched and don't like MST3K shouldn't be allowed to 1 star things because they're annoyed that it turns up in searches.

I feel obliged to give five stars to counter that one star from the guy who didn't even watch the show, but this episode deserves it anyway. Hercules is perfect for MST and Joel and co. do a great job with it. A very funny episode. I liked seeing Mike play Steve Reeves with the Mads.

Skipping the prefunctory explination of the show, itself (seriously, just Google MST3K and come back...ain't nobody got time for that), let's just say that this episode embodies everything that made it great. The movie itself is just terrible enough to be entertaining on its own, sans any riffing from the peanut gallery. The riffing is also at its best, this episode. Though many of the jokes are horribly dated, now, but the spontaneous nature of the banter makes it grin-worthy, even in its most esoteric. The "space family" dynamic was also at its best at this point in the show's run, which was always a large part of my attraction to it. If you're an MST virgin, you can't do much better than this episode as an introduction to it.

As always Mystery Science Theater delivers the good stuff. Hercules was seriously so hot in this one. Totally worth it to just look at his sandals.
