A good collection for general mystery readers,

This review is from: More Mystery Cats (Signet) (Paperback)
This is a collection of fourteen short stories that in some way involve a cat. Generally, the cats are minor characters, and are animals, Lillian Jackson Braun's Madame Phloi being an exception. Included are both new stories and older tales by the likes of Dorothy L. Sayers and P. G. Wodehouse. The moods vary and the stories are all well written; there were no under-par stories. Kristine Kathryn Rusch's "Little Miracles" was very moving if rather heart-rending. Recommended for general mystery readers.CONTENTS: Catspaw by Sandra Woodruff The Sin of Madame Phloi by Lillian Jackson Braun Call to Witness by Nancy Schachterle A Case of Catnapping by A.H.Z. Carr Miss Phipps and the Siamese Cat by Phyllis Bentley Cat Burgler by Gene DeWeese Cat of Dreams by Frances & Richard Lockridge Death at the Excelsior by P. G. Wodehouse Spectre in Blue Doubleknit by Bruce Bethke Animals by Clark Howard The Cat and the Fiddle Murders by Edward D. Hoch The Cyprian Cat by Dorothy L. I love clean mysteries (very little gore, almost no sex) and I love cats. This book combines the two and is a fun read. I stayed up all night just to finish the book. It was worth it! I will be adding to my collection soon.
