1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money'!!! May 26, 2012
You have to tap many times on an item & get penalized for too much tapping. It's Stupid. And a total waste of time. To proceed in Chapter 3 you have to do one of 3 things. Upgrade- Start an account with facebook or with twitter. I will never buy another game from this company.

1.0 out of 5 stars Complete crap August 8, 2012

Everytime you put your finger on the screen to move around it counts as a tap. For this type of game that's beyond ridiculous. Once you get too many, (which happens easily since the point of the game is to find things you have to move around to look for,) you get penalized. Every other game in the universe can tell the difference between a tap & holding onto the screen to move it around. For a company that sells as many games as Nevosoft, it shouldn't be an issue to hire a programmer to do things right. Not only is that a HUGE issue, but there have been quite a few objects I found, & had to tap on multiple times before it acknowledged I was tapping on the right thing. It got annoying really quickly...like within the first minute. Still, I gave it a chance. Once I got to the first side by side thing, (where you have to find the differences,) & you couldn't even zoom in, I couldn't stand to play it any longer.

I hate hidden object games, but I give everything a fair chance. Had this worked properly I'd have gladly given it five stars. Right off the bat, though, it stank on ice. Can't wait for the other reviews today. Evidently the bad reviews by the unfortunate people who actually paid money for this crap didn't make any difference to you. Maybe you morons will make a few changes once you see it's gonna affect your pocketbooks.

I paid $3 and into the second chapter the only way to keep going is to buy the rest of the game. not worth it!

This is the first and most likely last Nevosoft title that I will play. Mysteryville: Hidden Object Detective Story has absolutely no redeeming qualities. It is an unoriginal, racist, and boring game in an extremely overcrowded market of hidden object hunting.

The storyline and writing is absolutely terrible. Not only is it not interesting, it's full of racism and sexual innuendo - WHILE being rated safe for all ages. As one of the game's character's said "Dong no money to take beautiful girl" and "Trust Old Dong". I won't spoil it anymore if you actually want to play the game, but that conversation ends up with our hero bravely accepting something called a "Black Lotus Potion" and chugging it. This leads to her having hallucinations and seeing things... She does mention that that trusting strangers is bad, but does it anyway for the sake of cats...

The narrative isn't really helped by the fact that all the characters are eccentric and stereotypical, with not an ounce of depth or interest. They are just there to prod us to the next task. The game is actually a little bit better if one just skips the dialogue, and thankfully that option is there!

Every time you beat a level by pixel hunting for items (either in the dark, or matching against another screen to find the differences, or by picking out words, or by selecting the shapes, etc), you are prompted to share your accomplishment on either Twitter or Facebook (or both). This happens after EVERY level and you have to keep canceling. There is no option to disable this "feature", but there is an option to sign up for Nevosoft's newsletter.

Moving on to the actual pixel hunt portion of the game - it wouldn't be so bad if the game wasn't so terrible buggy.

2.0 out of 5 stars the worst August 1, 2012
This game really does suck big time. Played the game then had to make a purchase to move forward. Only to findnout I cant proceed out of the 3rd chapter. The screen isn't big enough to complete two pictures. NOT WORTH THE $$$.

1.0 out of 5 stars whoa! that was pretty racist! August 8, 2012

hey if you've dying for a hidden object game but find that your usual games just aren't racist enough, good news! this game is totally free, terrible, and completely racist! normally I would expect to pay $5 or $10 for this kind of total package! seriously, nevosoft (and amazon, for that matter) did you think this was ok? seriously?!

1.0 out of 5 stars forget it July 17, 2012
This is boring and repetitive.

I am now at a place where you assemble a stained glass picture by swapping rectangular pictures. The problem is that the pieces have several places where they could go.

It's impossible to solve, no way to skip, and help looks active but does nothing. Only the help timer restarts.

You cannot pinch to enlarge the screen, when makes some objects very hard to find.

Btw - This is clearly a PC game. In options you can select 'full screen'. But on android device it's meaningless. And since you cannot pinch to enlarge/reduce screech size it's stupid.

Save your money!

This is a fun hidden objects game that has a mystery plot. I like that it has a casual mode so I can relax while playing it. There are hints when you need them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rates better than I give it
I would've given this game 3-5 stars-but I loathe being asked to rate some thing mid play-and I will always give a game or app only 1 star when they do that to me.

1.0 out of 5 stars this game stinks big time
Full of near pixel hunting and half hidden objects on the edge of the screen on a short timer. Not the best or ideal way to play a story driven game. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Played it...Once
I started this app once and played it for about 10 minutes. It was one of those "app of the day" apps that you have to download and try...I did...and it didn't hook me.
