Authenticity and Romance - one of Bittner's Best,
By A Customer
This review is from: Mystic Dreamers (Hardcover)
Rosanne Bittner has returned to writing about our Native culture in Mystic Dreamers. For those of us who have read and loved Song of the Wolf, this is a long overdue wait. Because I am Native American myself, I look for authenticity and am usually disappointed at stereotyping and less than accurate depictions of my people. Bittner is a rare romance writer who seems to care about making the Indian, a human with strengths and failures, who love and hate and feel. I really enjoyed this book but I miss the depth that is missing that was in Song of the Wolf or Montana Woman. An extra hundred pages of depth to the plot, and yes, the characters would have been most welcome. However, if you love romance, Bittner should be your first choice. -Reviewed by Spirit Wolf

Historical Romance,

This review is from: Mystic Dreamers (Mass Market Paperback)
I am a definate Rosanne Bittner fan. I am not a romance novel reader but I am a historical romance fan now thanks to Rosanne Bittner. Being Native American myself I enjoy Rosanne's books when both main characters are native american. Rosanne has done a wonderful job, she has done alot of research and with the detail she is truly able to bring her stories alive for you the reader. I highly recommend Mystic Dreamers and Song of the Wolf. I am searching for more, hopefully Rosanne will keep them coming.

Entranced,
By A Customer
This review is from: Mystic Dreamers (Hardcover)
I have been intereted in Native American culture as of late. I found this book on sale and decided to give it a try. It turns out it was a great purchase. I could not put the book down. The romantic side of the story and the realism kept me reading and in a few days I was through and wishing I had Mystic Warriors to keep reading the story. The writing style made me feel as though I was there. I am now an avid fan of Rosanne Bittner and have just ordered Mystic Dreamer and plan to read as many of her books as possible.
