5.0 out of 5 stars Please release season one on DVD!!
My kids love this video and loved the series when it was on Fox. Unfortunately, we discovered the TV series towards the end of the season right before it was cancelled. My kids would love to watch the whole season one (they have watched this video countless times). Mystic knights is a fun video that doesn't take itself too seriously. 3.0 out of 5 stars What's so mystic about it? Nothing, really.
I bought this video only to find that it was the first four episodes. Though my favorite Mystic Knight is Lisa Dwan, she doesn't fight as well as O'Mearain the orphan does. The battle scenes don't have as much action as those on Power Rangers do, and the special effects are anything but realistic. But this video's attractive landscapes (it was filmed on location in...

My kids love this video and loved the series when it was on Fox. Unfortunately, we discovered the TV series towards the end of the season right before it was cancelled. My kids would love to watch the whole season one (they have watched this video countless times). Mystic knights is a fun video that doesn't take itself too seriously. The monsters aren't too scary, the heroes always win, and good values are somehow mixed in with the lot. There is of course a wizard, and valuation of powers not from God - a warning for those of you who find that offensive. But there is a good strong female character, and a black character who is very positively portrayed as a king's son who is trying to save his people.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mystic Knights beat Power Rangers ANYDAY!, March 25, 2000
This review is from: Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog [VHS] (VHS Tape)
In an attempt to "unhook" my son from those ever present Power Rangers, I picked up this movie. It is absolutely wonderful. Mystical creatures and places (all rooted in actual Irish folklore) combine with action on a tamer and more understandable level than the average Power Ranger flick. The characters are all well developed (for a children's movie) and amusing; and the special effects, while by no means dazzling to an adult, are enough to mystify any child. Throw in fairies, pixies, leprauchans and the occassional dragon, and you have a tale to spark the imagination. Now, my three year old son and two year old daughter both run around hollering "Fire Within Me" and "Air Above Me" instead of trying to karate chop each other!

5.0 out of 5 stars this is a great collection of the knights' episodes!, August 20, 1999

although a kids' show, Mystic Knights of Tir-Na-Nog is a wonderful show for all ages. it combines ancient lore, celtic mythology, wonderful music and is filmed on location in ireland! the actors, especailly lochlann o'mearain and vincent walsh (rohan and angus), are wonderful at portraying thier characters. every episode is a freat adventure but this is an excellent introduction to the kingdom of Kells and the knights that fight for peace within the land.

But this video's attractive landscapes (it was filmed on location in Ireland!) and picturesque group of apparently grown-up lead players make this worth seeing. I just wish Saban would hurry up with the long-delayed second season of this program!

5.0 out of 5 stars This movie rocks! Yeah!, April 19, 2002

I love this movie, and the television show. The Mystic Knights are sooooo cool. I used to watch it every day after school, until they sadly, *sniff*, took it off the air. My friends and I used to have Mystic Knights parties and dress up as the characters. We then acted out the episode. Our favorite Mystic Knight is Angus. . .and Rohan, and Garrett( even though he isn't in the movie), and Deirdre. We are annoyed with Ivar because he always wears the same outfit, which is always the same color. It would be sooooo cool to have the entire series available for purchase. It should be on DVD. Yeah. Garrett's hair is cool!

My son has been watching this show since he was about 1 1/2 years old and has worn the 1st VHS tape out already. I wish it was on DVD, but it looks like I will have to get a 2nd VHS. My son started out saying "Fire 'buv me" but now has progressed to "Fire 'in me, water 'round me, air 'bove me, earth beneath me, now how 'bout that armor!" I wish the rest of the series could be put on VHS or DVD as well.

I really liked the movie. It was great. There weren't too many really scary mean guys and the good guys were great. I liked the mystic armour that they got.

It's true that this movie leaves a lot to be desired --- for an adult. It has a lot of gaps and spaces -- and the monsters are very fake. But my 3-l/2 yr. old grandson has watched it FIVE times in a row. He loves it! He quotes it! He plays it! ..... and that's good enough for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Mighty Morphin Power Rip-Off, January 5, 2012
This review is from: Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is nothing more then a Power Rangers rip-off. It was just cashing in on the success of said show. Aside from that, the cast is bland & forgettable, the fights are luke-warm and the villian is 1D at best. Infact This whole show is forgettable. I mean, how many of you actually remember this show? I give this show a 0 out of 10.
