From Publishers Weekly
A prologue involving the 1815 salvaging of a "cursed" ship sets the pace for this rambling, often confusing, time traveler by the author of This Time Forever. After a lengthy decision-making process, aimed, it seems, at establishing the heroine's background and bona fides, PI and psychic Cara Edwards agrees to help find a 10-year-old boy who vanished during a field trip aboard a 19th-century schooner. Dressed as one of the crew, Cara attempts to recreate the events leading up to the boy's disappearance, only to find herself propelled to the year 1833 and into the arms of rakish captain Blake Masters. As Cara and Blake spend the next six months sailing the ancient seas searching for (and finding) the missing child, Cara uses her gift to help Blake come to terms with his horrific past, a past eerily connected to the present. Excessive theorizing about time travel and psychic abilities slows down the final pages and leads to a convoluted ending that stretches credibility to the limit.

Review
Psychic private investigator Cara Edwards is hired to find ten-year-old Andrew Charles. Andrew was with his class for an overnight educational experience aboard the Mystic when he suddenly and inexplicably vanished without a trace. In order to get on the ship and not look suspicious, Cara trains vigorously for a week and dresses in nineteenth century costume to become part of the crew. She is about to take her turn on the watch but instead she travels through a time portal and winds up on the Mystic in 1833. Captain Blake Masters comes to her aid and, after Cara partially explains her situation, he agrees to take her to San Diego. Though Blake has doubts about Cara and her story, he experiences her psychic abilities when they become lovers. During their quest to find Andrew, Cara and Blake share some wild adventures and after rescuing Andrew, Blake makes an astonishing discovery about himself. Cara isn't sure how time travel works. Will she be able to bring Andrew to 1998 and what about Blake? Will she only have her memories of him to take with her? This is a nice, easy read and if you enjoy time travel and the super natural, you're in for a double treat! Ms. Liepitz has skillfully penned a pleasing new romance you won't want to miss! She is a wonderful new voice in romantic fiction! Wild adventures and passion on the high seas will keep you entertained! A delightful time travel! A divine romance! Gloria Miller --
