The Soper Savage collection is being stored at the University of Michigan. The Milton Hunter family collection included tablets with sumerian imprinted with wedge shaped marks and Egyptian hieroglyphs . The Phoenicians simplified the Egyptian hieroglyphs. The earliest Cypro-Minoan syllabary (CM) is an undeciphered syllabic script used on the island of Cyprus. Over 250 objects bearing CM inscription has been found including clay tablets, votive stands, clay cylinders and clay balls. The clay tablets of cyprus are not cut nor polished liked the Michigan tablets and the script does not seem to be similar. In 1955, clay tablets with CM were discovered near Enkomi.

Farmers in 15 county's found artifacts in 7 collections. An artifact called the Dighton Rock was discovered near the riverbed of the Taunton River at Berkley, Massachusetts. The rock had petroglyphs covering the surface. The Dighton rock had petrography and iconic markings. Edwin Worth collected artifacts for 40 years and created a museum in Springfield. The museum burned down and five artifacts were saved and sold to Philip Schupp.

On Oct 1890, James Scotford discovered a clay cup of unbaked clay. Rev Barlow interprets the relic as authentic and the works of Egyptian and Chaldean immigrants. Mounds near Wyman were excavuated and relics found. In 1907, Father James Savage purchases his first Michigan Relics. The artifacts are object that found its way from the Valley of Tigeris and Euphrates. The Savage collection was stored at Notre Dame and the University gives the collection to Milton Hunter. Today, the Michigan relics are store at the Michigan Historical Center's Michigan Historical Museum.

Soper collected 9 thousand indian artifacts, 3 copper spears, and a clay lamp. Soper, Dean Savage, and James Scotford discovered 500 mounds. Bishop Rudolph Etzenhouser lectured about the tablets.

The Michigan relic includes the deluge tablet that is 22 x 7. Other artifacts include copper relics, axes, spears, knives, incense burners, caskets, pipes, and figurines. The specimens were geniune. 3,000 artifacts make up the Dean Savage collection was confirmed authentic by a group of archaeologist of international standing. There were four different substances : slate, clay, stone, and copper. Each artifact bore some type of writings in Greek, Egyptian, Phoenician, or Sumerian. The tablets were covered with sketched images or stamped characters. Dean Savage had catalogued over 200 copper plates. One stone tablet was 4 feet in length and weighed 60 pounds. The artifacts included pots, pipes, jars, altars, scimitars, axes, hammers, crosses, chisels, and amulets. The stones were polished to a sheen resulting from hours of rubbing. Copper tablets were cut with a saw. A quarry was near Amherst Ohio. Copper was mined near Amherst Ohio and copper pits were near Calumet and Houghton. Copper spearheads and scimitars numbered in the score suggesting long battles. The carpenter tools and architecture tool of copper showed considerable wear. Tools included protractors, squares, chisels, and saws.

Coptic was a fusion of Egyptian with Greek and read from right to left. The sidious bird was associated with the tower of babel, at the time the language was confused. The Michigan tablets had a 13 month calendar read counter clockwise. The symbol God ashur was on the tablet. There is extensive evidence that copper mining and iron smelting was taking place in the heart of North America, 3,000 years ago. The great lakes were open to import/export of copper very different from indians that travel alone.

The ancient people had road making knowledge that was lost. Each of the tablets was written in a different hand. The Rosetta shoe had greek hieroglyphs with two greek letters separated by a hieroglyphs. The Rosetta used an abbreviated shorten language. Cretan and Coptic were Greek.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Mystic Symbol, December 2, 2007

This review is from: The Mystic Symbol: Mark of the Michigan Mound Builders (Paperback)
This book is one of many that deal with the untold travelers of nations that visited this country. It goes against the grain of the history we are taught. The Rio Grande, Mississippi, Ohio rivers etc, were ancient freeways of the days of old .Archeology has proven this. These ancient travelers came to mine the many resources here. Dr.Barry Fell was a great
teacher and linguist who has written many books of the subject as did Gloria Farley & Raymond Capt.

This book is really amazing. David Deal's cracking of the script and language is truly a major accomplishment.

His anti-Trinitarian bias is unfortunate taint, though.
