5.0 out of 5 stars it's no myth that this book is great
This 2-in-1 is volumes three and four in Asprin's hit Myth series. Both are great stories and great books. Myth Directions deals with the game the gang plays in order to win the Trophy (...Tanda...). And Hit or Myth is truly hilarious as Skeeve has to pretend to be the king and avoid marriage. These are great books.

3.0 out of 5 stars More of the same with the Myth crew
I've just picked this series up again after having read it about 15 years ago. I do have to admit that it was more enjoyable when I was in high school, and being as that I can recommend it more to teens than to more sophisticated readers. I've just picked this series up again after having read it about 15 years ago. I do have to admit that it was more enjoyable when I was in high school, and being as that I can recommend it more to teens than to more sophisticated readers. This second collection of two Myth books is a decent enough follow up to the first installment and continues the dimension hopping antics of Skeeve and Aahz. The supposedly zany adventures aren't quite madcap enough, though and all in all they actually seem rather tame by modern fantasy standards.

The oddball group of characters is interesting enough, although by these books it seems as if everyone seems to already know one another from somewhere else (pretty small multiple dimension, huh?). Asprin still over explains character motivation and wraps up the loose ends he creates waaaaay too quickly continuing the forced nature of the climaxes as were in the first two books.

Overall this is good harmless light reading, but unless you really liked the characters from the first two books I wouldn't really recommend it. I breezed through this volume rather briskly, but ultimately wasn't really looking forward to reading the next installation that I had already purchased.

Received the books in a timely manner. I truely recommend Robert Asprin to anyone interested in a fun adventure. My Middle School children couldn't put this down after they started and followed with reading anything else Mr. Asprin wrote. You won't go wrong reading or gifting this one. Enjoy.

I would highly recommend this entire series for children ages 12+ - up.
My son is ADhD with Aspbergers, and has difficulties with writing for school when requested.
We went through the ups and down of trying to find a book for his English requirements until we reached the MYTH series of Robert Asprin.
Not ONLY did he do the book reports on this series, he ENJOYED reading them!
They aren't too long to read, they are enjoyable to read, and my husband enjoyed them so much when he was 15 yrs old, he kept the whole series throughout his lifetime (he's 38 today). This was the only book we couldn't find so had to buy as a replacement. Even to this day he will pull out this series and read it over again. We're talking about my husband here even! So if you're trying to find a present for a male friend, family member, or even as an addition to a public library. I HIGHLY recommend the MYTH SERIES. Make sure they start with BOOK 1.
You won't regret it. I know I haven't.
