This book is the only book available to collectors of Nemadji Indian Pottery produced in Northern Minnesota from 1923 to 2002. It tracks the history of the Nemadji Tile and Pottery Company in Kettle River and in Moose Lake, Minnesota. It tells how an idea born out of the depression became a force during the Tourist wars of the early 1930's. This book contains color photos of the earliest nemadji pottery produced to the last produced in Kettle River in 2002. The book contains catilogs and printed materials used to promote Nemadji to Tourist shops across the nation. It explains how to date and identify the pottery and pricing. This book is carried in Historical Society Gift shops in Minnesota, several bookstores and on the internet. It explains how a pottery produced by the children of Scandinavian Immigrants became know in the collecting world as "Indian" Pottery--thus exploding a myth that has survived for over 75 years. Reviews from readers have been very positive. In fact some have told me it has saved them money while they have been out on the hunt for their favorite "Indian" Pottery. The book will come to you new and shrink wrapped from the printer. Or if you'd like an autographed copy I will be more than willing to do that for you. Here is the link to the Nemadji Pottery website [...] for the opportunity to view the book and read more information.

I love this book! I am a newcomer to Nemadji Pottery, and this was just what I needed. There are marking examples to help you date your pottery. There are many photographs to help you with the factory number, which ties in nicely with the price guide (great for insurance purposes)! I love history and trivia, so the parts on Nemadji being a recycling company since its inception was great! The book has a very easy to read style which makes it easy to not want to put it down, but easy to return to when you have to stop. Thank you for a great source of information!

I am an antique dealer. This book has been very helpful in identifying and pricing my Nemadji pieces. Nice knowing they came from the area I live in.
