5.0 out of 5 stars I had a lot of fun from the start
The game was great from the time I installed it on my PC with Windows 98. The game gives you a variety of people and buildings to manage. You start with the most basic scenario but basic in the sense that your abilities are limited. It runs like a story: you get a paragraph that states the conditions such as the enemy troops have been sighted near you border. Then of...

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible
From difficulties installing it, to zero instructions(paper or online), bad graphics, awful gameplay--this game hits upon the worst. I can see why it is sold so cheaply. This isn't even worth a $1, which is what I paid for it. This really seems like something a kid programmed at home. I really have seen better shareware programs better than this. Pay for what you...

Then of course you get the chance to start the scenario. You can "train" more farmers at the "Mansion" a building that you start with as well as a few warriors. You can build different types of buildings including "training centers" for your warriors, farms to produce livestock and defense structures (sort of like fortresses) that fire arrows. The trick is to hold on to the land that the enemy also wants. Your farmers' job is to build the structures you want and can afford (you have a set amount of "money") and "harvest". Among the things they "harvest" are: rice and wheat. They can also build mines to dig up crystal, iron and even gold. All these give you more "money" which in turn you can use to build or train more warriors. There are structures you can have your farmers build that let do "research" enabling you to "harvest" more rice, wheat or dig up more iron, gold, etc. With these structures you can also "research" magic spells. In addition to warriors you have magicians that can cast spells to heal your troops IF they are still alive. As your research continues, your farmers are able to build more structures, different types of warriors become available and stronger spells are added to your belt, too.
As you win each scenario, you can move to the next scenario that starts with your side having what you "researched" in the previous one. Each scenario becomes more complicated with the enemy also having "researched" and getting different types of units, structures and spells. Each scenario presents a different battlefield and terrain. You can use different strategies to defend your land and defeat the enemy. A lot of fun!
