The Cythr ul Klan vaults have now been emptied, the "Rest Of" ABSU is about to be presented to all. Actually, this collection is titled after a coalesced style of Black and Death metal ABSU invented nearly 15 years ago: Mythological Occult Metal: 1991-2001. This dual CD/LP anthology consists of rarities, EPs, covers, live and unreleased tracks which were never featured on the five releases for Osmose Productions. Included are some discarded gems dating back to the band's earliest songwriting efforts, one of which is the very first EP: The Temples of Offal. This compilation documents all the phases of the Cythr ul Klan and I think this will become somewhat of a treasure among ABSU followers; it's as if you have total admittance to our musical history. I did this for you because ABSU is currently on hiatus, so don't expect a new studio album any time soon. Mega Rock. 2005. --This text refers to an alternate Audio CD edition.

Ahhh, Absu, for years I have been enlightened by thy truly inspirational and totally superior form of Metal. I am still recovering from the effects of Tara, which showcases one of the most technical and splendid drum performances ever. Proscriptor is a genius, what can I say? Here we have a 2-CD compilation featuring all the 7" EP released by the band, live songs, including the phenomenally outstanding "The Coming of War", 4 cover songs, unreleased rehearsal recordings...have I missed anything yet? This is a package designed for die-hards but always willing to recruit a few new souls along the way. The booklet comes with full linear notes and tons of pictures as well. All in all, you can never make a bad choice when purchasing an Absu product. I hope they release a new album sometime in the future, although at this moment their career seems to be in hiatus. We'll see.

I bought this cd cause ive known about Absu since the early 90's and this cd covered that era to the early 21st century.They have changed a great deal over the years but their music hasnt its still raw grim black metal from an American band in Texas.If you like your metal raw you will love this cd if you dont then dont buy it for extreme metal lovers only.
