Cancer specialists are well aware that patients diagnosed with lung cancer are often asked to make quick decisions during a period of intense emotional crises. Heavily illustrated and punctuated throughout with patient quotes, this handbook identifies the most current screening and diagnostic techniques, treatment options, potential outcomes, support information, and much, much more. Ideal for both professional and personal use, this softcover book arms the lung cancer patient with the information he or she will need to make rational decisions throughout the course of his or her therapy. Glossary also included. The Myths & Facts Series is also available for Ovarian, Breast, and Colorectal Cancers.

This review is from: Myths & Facts About Lung Cancer (Paperback)
My father was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. This book was very helpful in helping us understand the staging, the options, and the possible treatments. Although it covered a lot of the same ground as the American Cancer Society Web site, which is extremely helpful, it also covered some other information.
