I had a persistent cold and ear ache for some time, and when it got to the point that I could barely hear, I went to the Whole Body department of Whole Foods and asked them to help me. They told me to buy this Oreganol, but the .45 oz bottle cost $25, and I told them no way. Well, they gave me a free sample (always a good sign), and this stuff drained my ears and sinuses about five minutes after dosage (I did buy the product). It works fantastically. It tastes like, well, a super-concentrated dose of oregano, which is not very delicious at all.

It does burn for a minute or so after dosage, and may cause heartburn. If you frequently get heart burn, this is not the product for you.

I bought the tiny .45 oz bottle, which they told me would last about six months with daily dosing of 1-2 drops to prevent illness. Mind you, the 1-2 drops can be easily diluted in water, removing the awful burning sensation and terrible taste. For colds, you will need a higher dosage applied directly under the tongue and then swallowed.

Well, I ranted about how great this product was to my friends during the cold season. For many of them it worked very well, for others it only added to their misery. Yes, this product will not work for everyone. One of my friends, who is into herbal medicines, tried this product and it made her throw up. This was followed by hours of heartburn and no relief from her sinus pressure.

What I would recommend is that before you buy this product, see if you can get a sample from a friend or from your local health food store (in my case, Whole Foods).

When it does work, it works great, and when it doesn't, it's an awful experience.

At the risk of sounding like I own stock in this company or have been paid to write this review-I have to say that this is like a miracle cure to me. I had plantar warts which I got from having to shower in high school with all the other girls, and for over 20 years I had them burned off (painful!!!!) several times, but they came back. I had them surgically removed when my son was a baby...they came back! I tried duct tape, oral medication, you name it, I tried it. So last year, my mother told me about the anti viral, fungal etc. properties of oregano oil. So I thought I would try it as I had nothing to lose. I placed a drop of oil on my warts before I went to bed and wasn't even religious about doing it every night, and after about 2 weeks I saw black dots in the center of my warts. I googled what it could be and I cannot tell you the elation I felt when I read that the black center meant the wart was dying!!! I put it on a few more times and after about a week, they literally disappeared-there was nothing there where all the warts had been. I wouldn't believe this if I hadn't have it happen myself. Since you don't know me, you may think I am a quack or could be a compulsive liar and I wouldn't blame you since this sounds too good to be true...all I have to say is: try it for yourself. I am SO over the top about this product not only due to it curing my warts, but it also saved my child's rabbit.

My daughter's rabbit appeared to have a swollen jaw a few months ago, so we looked more closely and saw an abscess like growth coming out of her jaw. I googled to get more info and called our vet and was informed that without surgery, she would probably die from sepsis from the abscess. One website said the best plan is probably euthanasia as if they are cured, the abscesses tend to return. I explained this to my daughter and told her we'd keep an eye on her rabbit, but when it looked like she was suffering we'd take her to the humane society to have her put down. She cried, but agreed as she understood I couldn't spend hundreds of dollars on the rabbit. I felt terrible, though, not doing anything proactively and then I thought of the oregano oil (if it cured my warts, maybe it would cure her abscess.) I started putting a drop on her growth and a drop in her mouth each day, followed by a banana chip as I know the oil burns in the mouth as it is so strong. After about a week to a week and a half, it fell off! I kept putting the oil on the area until it was no longer red and raw- the swelling also disappeared and the fur grew back! To me, this was absolutely incredible. After a few weeks, she started getting two growths in the same area, but I started with the oregano oil again and once again-it totally cured it. I ended up buying the super strength oil, since I thought it would be more aggressive.

I also buy the capsules and my family takes them somewhat regularly; mostly when I know my kids are getting run down, or if someone feels a sore throat coming on. I truly think it helps keep us healthier. I am so happy to see almost all 5 star reviews on this product because hopefully it will give me more credence as I already said, it just sounds too good to be true. You can check out my other reviews if you think I'm "a bit off". I have not reviewed any other product in this manner, and probably never will!

NOTE: I have only tried North American Herb and Spice as I read that some companies which sell oregano oil cheaper, mix it with a greater percentage of olive oil. I will only buy this brand because I know it works. I hope you have spectacular results with this product as I did.

I started using oil of oregano for a staph bladder infection that was antibiotic resistant. It's the only thing that got rid of the blasted thing. Also, you can clean with it, apply it topically or take in internally. It's anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic and anti-viral. The taste is very strong, but it's worth it to be healthy. No more preservative, additives, coloring, chemicals for me. Get it it works.

I started using this product when my cold started getting really bad. I didn't want to go get antibiotics for a cold but I didn't want it to turn into something worse. I went to the health store and I was to told to put it in a steamer and also take it orally. This stuff totally helped clear up my month long cold. Plus is has also helped with my constant UT infections and other ones. My husband is currently using it on his foot to try to get rid of his planters wart and it seems to be working! I would defintley get the book about Oreganol oil and all of its uses and how to use it.

This is the first review on Amazon I have ever written. Because of how Oreganol oil has virtually changed my life in just a few months has made me preach the gospel of Oreganol to everyone I know. I recently even gave it to all my family members for Christmas.

I am a 36 year old mom who has a compromised immune system due to catching a superbug almost 2 years ago. Since this experience I have become the person that gets the sniffles when someone sneezes 2 blocks away. I would catch everything from everyone. If I am near a child who is coughing I catch it and it turns into some serious bronchial infection a week later.

With the recent scare of the H1N1 virus I was so nervous about catching it because of how my immune system reacted. I researched how I could help myself and my immune system perform better at fighting things off and become stronger. I came up with Oreganol Oil P73. That was 6 months ago.

Here were are, almost the 1st of the year, I have been exposed to H1N1 3 different times, once I even drove with someone in a closed up car for 45 mins two days before they came down with the virus. I have been with and around so many sick, sniffly, coughing kids I can't even count, I have been exposed to many people with the regular flu virus and I am here to tell you I have not come down with one thing. Not even one runny nose in 6 months, this is a miracle for me! There is no other explanation for this other than the Oreganol that I take every day.

I was so sick of being sick all the time, it was turning me into a germaphobe because I was so afraid of being around lots of people or children because I would literally catch everything. That's not the case anymore; I can relax because whatever is in this tiny jar has the power to do amazing things.

Maybe it won't work like this for you, but if you are the type of person that is always sick and catches everything and is missing out on living your life because of it give it a try. I have now switched to the Oreganol P73 gel caps just because for me it's more convenient. I take 2-3 per day (with food) and will continue to do so the entire flu season. Sometimes when I am in a big crowd or around many children I will take up to 4 gel caps the next day for extra fighting power. Also, my daughter had a bad chest cough and for two days I broke open a gel cap and rubbed it on her chest it seemed to cut the cough time down and she recovered quickly. I have also read many articles that say rubbing Oreganol P73 on your child's feet will break a fever within 5-10 mins.

All in all great product, Amazon has it at a great price. I was paying $60.00 for the 1oz liquid and $29.99 for 60 Gelcaps at Whole Foods.

So powerful and great for lots of problems, but I have tried 3 different brands and they all work, this one is milder tasting so I use it orally. Few drops under the tongue and also one drop on the toothbrush. It's also the most expensive brand, so I use the other brands on my body externally. They all work great.

I find it very relaxing to use on the back of my neck. If I have a sore knee I rub it on my knee. I think it improves circulation. You feel a slight warmth. Just magic stuff. You can put on acne to dry up acne. Take internally for every cold or flu or virus. Put on back to relax. Something very relaxing about it when rubbed into the skin. I love the smell, but it smells like oregano. My new favorite thing.

Great for both viral & bacterial infections! Be careful, though, if you have acid reflux - use sparingly.

I have spent the last 20+ years in a congested stupor. I've been on antibiotics, steroids, allergy meds, cold meds. I've used Netti pots, salene spray, and have done 5 years of allergy shots. I've tried everything. If anyone around me had a cold, I would catch it and then follow it up with a sinus infection. About a month ago I stumbled onto Oil of Oregano. After reading all the positive reviews I figured I had nothing to lose, so I ordered the .45 oz bottle and started taking 2 drops under my tongue each day. After about a week I was able to sleep through the night. (I haven't had 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep in at least 14 years). After about a month of taking this, I came close to catching a cold. My friend had a horrible cold and I had about 3 days where I thought I just might be catching it and then nothing. I was fine. Last Friday I left work early and forgot to take the oil (I left the bottle of oil on my desk so I didn't have anything for the weekend). I woke up Sunday morning completely congested, just like I've been most of my adult life. I've ordered the big bottle so I can have it both at home and at work. If you've suffered like so many others, give this stuff a try. It tastes terrible, but I'd rather suffer for a couple of seconds each day than go through another day of desperation trying to breath. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars.

i read about this product online from a community of sufferers with a particular common virus. i have been using it for over a month and it's like a miracle has occured in my life and given me my life back. this stuff is strong and potent and only take the recommended dosage or you will be living in the bathroom. it is the real deal.
