N-Gage Game Deck

First, wow! This is one excellent piece of equipment. Here are the things it can do.
a.Play video! This works well, and you can format any kind of clip to play on the N-Gage with free software Nokia provides.
b.Play Music! It plays mp3s, and works well beyond expectation.
c.Play Games! The games are INCREDIBLE! I recently acquired several, and they are much better than the Gameboy games, more functional, and they suit anyone. Another wonderful games feature it Java. Any java games works like a charm with the N-Gage! Simply download a file manager, and play them. You can find unlimited unique java games for endless FREE fun.
d.Make Calls! The N-Gage comes standard unlocked unless signed with a contract, and so you can buy a sim card and talk away. The reception is nice, no problems there.
e.Expands! The N-Gage can accept standard MMC cards, so you can have near unlimited space when you buy them.
f.Charges! This wonderful device charges, well, almost too well. After running out of batteries, you simply plug it in, give it about and hour or so, and its full up again.
g.It can read e-Books also, for those of you who like to do this, and they also play well.

Overall I give it an A++++++, and you cannot go wrong with it, even if you drop it.

Let me start by saying how underestimated this phone is, people keep saying it sucks...
Why hate it, i mean, not every other phone can:
-Play full video
-play mp3's (act as a complete MP3 Player)
-play Tony Hawks ProSkater in full 3D!
-plug in USB and start transfering!

Plus it has practically everything you can imagine in a phone nowadays apart from 65K color and a camera. It even has bluetooth and FULL USB connectivity (plug your phone into the computer and tranfer anything!).

It supports MMC (memory cards) too. And let me tell you how much I hate it when people whine about the fact that you have to pop open the lid to replace a game cartidge, because only hardcore gamers will need to switch several games every no and then cuz most people only have one game or something.

When i bought this I was expecting to be hooked on to this for hours and hours. Well guess what.I WASN'T. Dont get me wrong, the text messaging and cell phone features is cool but everything else just sucks. The graphics are terrible and the controls are all screwed up. Well I could live without good graphics but the games were just as bad. I don't see why there isn't a game slot so you dont have to take of the hatch..and the battery..and all this other crap I don't feel like explaining. My best advice is to save money and buy a gameboy advance and a cell phone seperately. It's cheaper, better, and SMARTER. The GBA has so many good games and you can buy and mp3 attachment for it. Even though this is a kid's review please take my advice. DO NOT waste your money on this product.

The N-Gage is a great everything. the games are displayed is good grapical detail. The internet browser is excetionally good and clear to see on the ngage's screen. the phone also has a bulit in MP3 player and a FM radio. you can also record songs from off the radio onto a memory card.The only fault i have with it is that it has no camera but i knew that before i bought it and i glad i bought it. so in conclusion if you want a cell that can entertain you and you realy do not mind about it(ngage) not being able to take pictures this is the right phone to puschase.

I've had a couple different cellphones and this is by far the best one i've ever had. This thing is compareable to my PC at home. I play all sorts of games, listen to the radio, watch TV shows and movies, store and play tons of MP3's, and O'Ya, I talk on the phone with it. If your willing to do a little research on N-gage forums this phone/computer can be your best friend. I would have paid 3 times of what I did if I would have known i could have got it to do all this stuff. Its really an amazing piece of equiptment.

I've owned a Nokia N-Gage for several months. It's alright as a phone except for the fact that it was built to be used like talking into a taco. But you can simply use the loudspeaker. I wouldn't recomend the headphones that cam with it because the piece that you talk into is so far from your mouth.

it's radio is good but the mp3 player could use work. you cant rewind nor fastfoward. plus, the volume isn't loud enough (or prehaps its because i like my music loud).

I have the game Ashen and it's actually enjoyable if you play it in short bursts. N-gage's games arent meant for continuous play, this is what a platform is for such as xbox.

the battery sucks. it's the worst feature. if you listen to the radio and/or the music player a lot, you battery will be gone in a matter of hours. for example, I listen to the radio on my way to school on the bus but when i get to the subway, i use the music player. the whole trip take's about 45 minutes. then i repeate the process afterschool which totals 90 minutes, or 1hr 30min. by the time i get home, i have only three or two bars left so this leaves little time for actually talking.

beyond these features, the rest of the phone is good.

I dont have an N gage, but my friends have them. But dont get me wrong, this is pure junk. For one thing, it has four hours battery. For another thing, it is extremely expensive. Also, it has terrible controls. And how you talk on the N gage makes it look like you are holding a taco up next to your head. How you change games will take you forever.

I have an N gage QD. Everything is fixed that I just said about the N gage. You should buy it instead. It is really good.

Okay,this is the reason the N-Gage isn't that great of a system:It has no good games.Really.If you look at GameSpot,the hightest rated game got a score of 7.6 (Rayman). Another problem is the cost.$200 for a handheld gaming system?
The last problems are,(1) you have to take the battery cover off to insert a game,(2) the design is not very comfortable,and,(3),the interface of this system isn't user-friendly.

Hopefully,the Sony PSP will be better. I think that the N-Gage belongs with the other failed systems,like the Virtual Boy,Nea-Geo,Dreamcast,ect.

the n-gage is the best phone for kids that are 12,13,14,15 years old.the grapics are good.it is not that big what people say. my advice is if you want to by a GBA or a phone by the n-gage or n-gage is you don't like music.

I love it I play with it probably 8 hours a day in the car everywhere. You cant go wrong with the buy.
