Noreaga has been a prime peddler of street-level drama and ghetto anthems ever since his 1997 debut (with Capone), The War Report. While his solo debut, N.O.R.E., lacks the sheer fatalism of his Queens, New York, peers Nas and Mobb Deep, Noreaga is unrepentant in his thugged-out exultation of fast money, fast love, and fast life. Because of his penchant for penning confusing tales that tend toward the cryptic (see the title track), Noreaga might appeal only to an audience eager to listen to stories of project life--just so long as they don't have to live it for themselves. Mostly mediocre production also weakens the album. It's only on two tracks, "Mathematics (Esta Loca)" and "Body in the Trunk," that we glimpse the potential for Noreaga's gifts. --Oliver Wang

With Busta, Nas, Big Punisher, and the mighty Kool G Rap guesting, you'd expect at least the odd killa track; what you get is great rapping ... sullied by unimaginative production.

Any body who rates this album anything below a 4 is the reason Nas says Hip hop is dead! This album and the CNN War Report album are slept on constantly. This album put NORE and the Neptunes on the map. Who ever heard of the Neptunes before this album??? Classic Queens at it's finest buy this album. Don't listen to these people who say anything bad about this album cuz they think Hip Hop is Gucci Mayne "I'm So Icy"! Get lost

Nore's debut is good, but is nowhere near as phat as CNN's "War Report." War Report was almost Nore's first solo since Capone was up north for most of the making of the album. I thought Banned From TV and The Assignment really stood out and NORE, Hed, 40 Island, The Change, Superthug, and Body in the Trunk were all pretty good as well. But, I Love My Life and The Way We Live were totally wack. CNN's "Closer" was a good mix of rap and R&B, but these two songs are not. I thought Fiesta and Mathematics were just blatant attempts at party songs, but they are still okay. Its Not a Game and Da Story are alright, but need work. All in all its a good CD, but I personally can't wait until Capone comes back and CNN drop again.

Noreaga's First Album in 1998. I like this album man. It brings back so much memories. I remember listining to this album after I listened to the War Report. But N.O.R.E. the album is RAW! But not better then The Reunion. That brings back so much memories. Noreaga is mad lucky to have Styles and Jadakiss on that song. And with Big Pun (The nicest Puerto Rican Rapper LENGEND in the WORLD!) And with Nature. Nature is always with Noreaga. Off that Fantastic Four. Cam'Ron was there too. They should of had Big Pun on Fantastic Four on The Professional Part Two or have him making a Chourus after someone is done singing. Aw man! Noreaga has to do a mixtape. Because he is too raw! He's mad raw! And I give this mixtape Five Stars because he got mad tracks. It dosen't have to be more then 16, but it better be raw. And that's what Noreaga has. And some of you haters be drinking hateraid. Yall think he dosen't make sense. He does!
