BEST NERF GUN EVER!!!,
A Kid's Review
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Nerf N-Strike Raider Rapid Fire CS-35 Dart Blaster - Blue (Toy)
This is the best nerf gun ever! It's like the vulcan but much much better 1. it's a lot less heavier which means you can actually carry it into battle(without difficulty). 2. it hardly ever jams. 3. it has a lot more dart capacity. Also you can put the magazine into other guns like the recon and longshot and it seems like the magazine improves the guns range! If you are an extreme nerfer you need this gun!!!!!!!!

It was the day after my birthday, and i decided to squander a bit of money on a present to myself. I have had great luck with the nerf maverick, and i decided to buy a new gun, one of the cool new ones. I was going to buy the vulcan, but overly pessimistic customer reviews put me off and i bought this instead.let me tell you now, this is THE BEST NERF GUN YET. Below are listed my pros and cons, but the pros far outweigh the cons. PROS: Dart capacity(you can keep shooting for a really long time before reloading) Weight Dual fire modes really fast "auto" mode entirely person-powered easy to fix jams long range(sometimes) CONS: Long reload time wide dispersal(can be good or bad, but takes forever to find all the darts you thought you shot in a straight line) Large drum takes up space YOU SHOULD BUY IT!!!

Ok, I was very much excited about this Nerf blaster.Pros: Pump-action: much better than previous designs, closer to either a bolt action or the slide on an semi-automatic pistol (without the semi-automatic part...) Loading is much better (not one ruined dart, unlike when I owned a longshot or with my friend's recon) Slam fire. Prior to purchase, I didn't exactly know what they meant by "slam fire," but when I found out, I was hooked. This probably makes this the N-Strike gun with the fastest rate of fire (without requiring 6 d-cell batteries...) Since I purchased before Sept. 30th, I'm ellegible for 50 free darts from Hasboro. However, there is one major drawback (and a couple minor ones): Firing does vary. By this, I mean that one shot it could have a range of 30 feet, while the very next shot could just fall to the ground after leaving the barrel, and this doesn't seem to depend on single shot or slam fire mode. Minor detail: modifying the blaster to remove the air restrictor proves a bit more difficult, since I can't seem to seperate the barrel components to get to the air restrictor.

If you're buying a Nerf gun, the "Raider" is the one to have. Our house has them all - most seem to have cheesy features that do little to enhance the "funability" - detachable stocks, red "laser" sites...those are neat for box art, but for tearing around the yard? You want fire power. The Raider fires very fast, doesn't jam and seems to have as much power as the Nerf Lawyers allow. The drum mechanism is surprisingly reliable - at least for now. We've just taken ownership, so there's a lot of wear-and-tear to experience! We'll see. However, we decided to review early because there were some reviews that describe a jamming or difficulty with the loading mechanism. Straight out of the box, ours wouldn't load either...until we clicked in the clip. Then? Fine. So maybe the other reviewers hadn't attached their drum or clip yet? Anyway, I'd say that if you were buying Nerf guns for your army, there are two you really should have - the Raider and the little single-shot "pistols." The rest are - in my opinion - thunk up by brand-extension wonks who just want to sell toys. Which is fine...but if your Nerfite really wants to PLAY, forget the features and just go with reliable firing. The "vulcan" is, in my opinion, worthless btw - it fires slower than a 3 year old throwing ping pong balls and requires batteries. Plus, it's ungainly and...well...get a Raider.

This is an awesome gun and I got it for 35 dollars with 100 bullets. basically the gun was free. You will never lose a nerf battle with this gun. We play three on three and six shots takes you out. i don't run out of bullets during the battle when I fill this gun up. You should have a nerf pistol as a backup if you run out because the guns one drawback is it takes a long time to reload. It doesn'y seem to have a big problem with jamming like some of the rifles have.

My sons 10 and 4 1/2 love this nerf gun. Although it is to big for my younger son, he still tries to play with it.It does fire fast and the clip that holds 35 darts is pretty cool. We thought it would have been a good idea to have the round cover unsnap so you could load them faster, but as it stands, you have to load them one at a time through the end of it. It's OK though, not a big deal. It actually works and doesn't jam up at all. We got the gun from Toys R Us and it had a bonus of 100 extra darts that came with it which made it an exceptional deal because buying the extra darts can get a little expensive. Would buy this item again.

This gun is by far one of the best Nerf guns that they've put out. Even if this gun came with a regular magazine and they hadn't even thought up the drum magazine... it would still be one of the best. The drum magazine with huge dart capacity just puts this gun over the top with how awesome it is. I had a battle outside with a friend who had just bought the Nerf Longstrike sniper rifle. I was a bit worried cause of how big his gun was, but I totally OWNED him. My gun kept shooting, and shooting, and shooting, and when I thought I was out I still had like 4 shots left haha. It shoots really straight, really far, and it's really great. I have been a fan of Nerf for a while, and have modded many guns to improve their quality, and I'd have to say this is by far one of the best guns out of the box that shoot well besides the revolver Nerf Maverick.Pros: Drum Magazine (huge capacity!) Pump action means you never have to take your hand off the gun to cock it, so you never lose sight when shooting an opponent. Slam Fire mode means you hold down the trigger, and just pump the gun and it shoots really fast. Although you lose accuracy. Retractable Stock is removable and can be put on other guns, like the Recon. Plus it looks like a real gun stock. Comes with lots of darts! Cons: With the bulky drum magazine, it leans to one side when you hold it, but if you let it rest on your arm, it doesn't matter. Didn't come with any other accessories for the railing system like a sight or anything. Get this gun, it's one of the best Nerf guns yet.

This is a lot of fun and the "slam-fire" is pretty ridiculous. I love watching my friends freak out as I unload on them. I also got some flip-clip (6-dart) magazines because you blow through the drum in no time. Plus, they give the gun better balance than the huge drum hanging off the side. However, there are a few negative points to mention. 1. The magazine location is terrible for right handed users. The drums sits against the user's chest and really limits mobility. I'm left handed and don't have a problem, but righty's might want to reconsider. 2. The shots can be very inconsistent. I still can't pin down what causes some shots to flop out a few feet while others sail across the room. Very fast pumping makes it more consistent, but you still won't know where your darts are going. Fury-fire dart tag guns are definitely more accurate, but MUCH slower to reload. 3. Jamming is annoying. You have to pull the lever ALL the way back until it hits the stop or the dart will jam. The darts are marred after a jam, but still usable. Altogether it's a lot of fun...I'm a 24 year old college student and I love this thing.

I went over to my friends house 2 weeks ago and we had a nerf gun fight. my other friend picked this gun and couldnt be stopped. 1 second youd see a bullet go right the next youd see one go left.he also used the barrel to cover his face.it also has some power when it shoots.

This Nerf Gun is a great one. When you open the box you can see the massve power right away. Also the only problem is when, you have to re load the massve drum. The two different firing modes are nice. but the best part is when you get into a war. The gun is not to heavy meaning that you can run faster.(unlike other guns). Also if you are firing it takes a long time to fire ALL 35 darts. The down side is you have to worry about losing your darts because there are so many. The range is good 20-30 FT., and is farily accurate depending on your dart. So this gun is really good and probably the best so far.5 out of 5 |
