This review is from: N-Sync (Audio CD)
I love Nysnc exspecally Justin and JC. But I have to say this is a kiken CD. you get 5 songs that are not on the other CD. I want you back and tearn up my heart are a little different. I think the best song on this album is "Riddle" i love the beat and "Best of My Life" they are really good. The other cool thing it has the words to the songs. If you love Nsync you must get it.

'N Sync: Self-Titled Debut Import,
This review is from: N-Sync (Audio CD)
This album is fantastic! Not only does it include many of the songs available on the North American debut, it also includes songs not available in the US. The European versions of Tearin' Up My Heart and I Want You Back are longer and slightly different than those available on the North American release. This album also includes five different songs not on the US release. The two songs Riddle and Forever Young have a more techno feel to them then many 'N Sync fans are used to, but they are terrific songs. Boston's original song More Than A Feeling is covered wonderfully by this talented group. A super buy for any 'N Sync fan, I highly recommend this import CD.

This review is from: N-Sync (Audio CD)
This CD is wonderful. It has five new songs that are different from the American debut album. They are Riddle, Best of my Life, Together Again, More Than a Feeling, and Forever Young. I strongly recommend this CD for any NSYNC fan. It is well worth it.

Actually a bit better than the U.S. debut.,

Here's the track-by-track review:1. "Tearin' Up My Heart": This is longer than the U.S. (or anywhere else) version. It has a bit of like 'police radio communication' at the beginning then turns into the regular song. 2. "You Got It": This is the 'producer is at the helm of the entire song' songs. There's many songs like on this CD. But it has good vocal layering. 3. "Sailing": A remake of Christopher Cross' song (I have not heard the original.) I like the guitar part at the beginning. Sounds like we're floating ( I don't know why.) 4. "Crazy for You": It's another 'producer' songs. But there's one different part in it. I hear guitars (!!!) Has a nice bass beat to it. 5. "Riddle": A European dance/pop song. It actually has a good beat to it, I can see it in a club (though I don't think anyone would dance to early 'NSYNC.) 6. "For the Girl Who Has Everything": This is actually a very good song. Very moody. To think that this was actually released as a single kinda scares me. 7. "I Need Love": 'Producer pop' at it's best (or worst). Someone told me when they listened to it, it sounded like a European dance song. It's the "pre-packaged pop/love song" that 'NSYNC was known for way back when ;) 8. "Giddy Up": This is a weird tune...very weird. Supposedly they co-wrote it. I'm not getting the meaning of this song. "Cuz if you wanna make things right, you got to giddy up..." (?!?!) 9. "Here We Go": This seems like a 'crowd pleaser' at a concert or a basketball game. I don't know, but it sounds like it could be in a movie about a party or something or another. 10. "Best of My Life": When I first listened to this song, I thought was cool. It was one of those 'boy band ballads'. But then I listened to Boyz II Men "End of the Road" (I think.) It sounds eerily alike. 11. "More Than a Feeling": Another remake of an old tune, but this time they have Boston's old song. It sounds with the 'Barbershop vocal do do do's.' 12. "I Want You Back": Longer than the U.S. debut, but I don't think anyone's complaning. I've seen the original video (European version,) very interesting... 13. "Together Again": Slow and kinda sad. I like the 'oohs' at the semi beginning. Very melodic and sounds like anything I haven't heard. 14. "Forever Young": A bit of a European dance song. But you can play this song at like a soccer game or at a New Year's Eve party, people (I think) will get pumped up. Overall review: 4 stars: This has more songs and a better sound quality than the U.S. debut has. As you may or may not know, I've reviewed two to four 'NSYNC cd's, and they probably won't come close to this. If I could rate it more than a 4, it would probably be a 4.75.

Another Awesome *NSYNC CD...,

I totally love *NSYNC. They're my favorite group. This is their first CD, it was released in Germany in 1997. I just got this CD about a month ago, and I love it. It has 5 songs not released in the United States. 'Forever Young' is an up-beat song with a good message, and 'Together Again' is a really pretty song. 'Riddle' is a really up-beat song. 'Best Of My Life' is a slow song with a good beat. My favorite song is 'More Than A Feeling'. It's a beautiful song, and they sound AWESOME in it. It inspires you. Tearin' up my Heart and I Want You Back are extened versions and they sound really cool. If you're shopping around for *NSYNC Imports, like I am, I definetly recommed this one.

"...Nsync has got the flow!" ... buy this CD solely 4 the awesome acapella "More Than a Feeling," the upbeat "Forevvvvvvver Young" & "Riddle," and don't forget the classic nsync songs on this cd (their 1st ever) as well. I <3 this cd.

Superb album from a tight group!!!,

'NSYNC - the debut european album from one of the most popular and successful vocal groups in recent years showcases the talents of the five guys of *NSYNC. As many of y'all know 'NSYNC first came into prominence in Europe in the late 1990's and this album clearly shows alot of European influence to the group's sound. I am actually from the United Kingdom and I was first introduced to *NSYNC by my cousins from Germany and Switzerland in 1996, and I purchased this album in 1997.The instant that it made its way into regular rotation in my music listening it just stuck with me. I would go into school with the melodies of their songs and their harmonies planted in my brain and I couldn't wait to get back home to listen to their songs. There is a really good variety of music on this CD, at a glance the songs that stick out the most are as follows: "Tearin' Up My Heart" - a longer version which is easier to sing along to since it has more instrumental breaks!!! "I Want You Back" - their debut single back in '96 which has all of the good points of a great dance pop song: a great beat, pleasant harmonies and an unbelievably catchy chorus! "Here We Go" - another hot dance pop song which always gets me up and dancing and it reminds me of seeing 'NSYNC on German TV back when they first started! "For The Girl Who Has Everything" - I can't even begin to describe how much I love this song, JC - what a voice!!! The harmonies, the guitar, the bass...everything about this song just screams perfection. JC has such a great voice throughout this song (especially the second verse!!!) "Sailing" - Another great vocal performance by JC make this a memorable song on the CD as well as the 5-part vocal arrangement in the middle of the song (to cover the piano solo in the Christopher Cross version!!!) "Together Again" - This was the 'NSYNC christmas single in europe for 1997 and for me is one of the highlights on the album, the verses are sung by 4 members of the group instead of just JC and Justin. Justin takes the 1st verse, Chris the 2nd and Joey does the 3rd verse (with JC doing some nice overdubs!!!). "More Than A Feeling" - Very nice take on the Boston classic, almost unidentifiable from the Boston version - would have been better as a full acapella arrangent as the instrumental arrangement is very bare! You also get to hear Joey sing "Closed my eyes and I slipped away" in the 2nd verse! "Crazy for You", "The Riddle" and "You Got It" (nice middle bit!) are all quite enjoyable uptempo dance songs with nice leads from Justin and JC making them a worthwile listen. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the rather dreadful "I Need Love" and "Forever Young" - how "I Need Love" actually got to be on the US edition is still beyond me!!! "Best Of My Life" is good but I will agree heartily with the other reviewers who said that it sound too much like "End Of The Road" by Boyz II Men. (Personally I feel that it was their take on "I'll Never Break Your Heart" by the Backstreet Boys - which they admitted was their favourite Backstreet Boys song on a German TV Interview in 1997!!!) As for "Giddy Up" well it is the most laughable 'NSYNC track ever... what on earth are they on about here? I have never liked this song although it's not as "wack" as "If You Want It To Be Good Girl (Get Yourself A Bad Boy)" by Backstreet Boys - which is 10 times worse! Anyway, overall this is one tight album and it brings back alot of memories for me, I recommend that you folks that don't have it, whip out your wallets and get purchasing!!! Peace Out y'all!

If there is a best pop album here it is!,
By Angel Esping (Used to be SF, USA) - See all my reviews

My best friend happened on this by chance at Borders and she bought it on a whim, and she and I liked it better than the American version after just one listen! The songs "Riddle" and "Forever young" are worth paying a bit more, and the longer version of "Tearin up my Heart" is really good! Most of the best songs from their American album are on here too, so it's really your best buy! This is a likeable, clean, fun album. NSYNC fans will die for it! If you have the choice, get this one instead of the American one, it's so awesome!
