This tape is a follow-up to their popular video: "*NSYNC Live from Madison Square Garden" which came out last year. *NSYNC brought their Pop Odyssey show across the country in the summer of 2001. This video was filmed in New Orleans, Lousiana on August 22, 2001.
Here's a list of song they performed that night (and will probably appear on the video):
"Tearin' Up My Heart / I Want You Back" (MTV re-mix)
"God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You"
"The Two of Us"
"Space Cowboy"
"This I Promise You" (Grammy Awards mix)
"It's Gonna Be Me" (1,2,3 to the 4 remix)
"See Right Through You"
"Up Against The Wall"
"Something Like You"
"No Strings Attatched"
"The Game is Over"

When I purchased the PopOdyssey live video earlier this week, I was hoping and praying that it could compare even a little bit to seeing the show live in Tampa. I was very satisfied with the editing job that was done on this video. They showed everything, right down to the short films played in between sets. It was cool to see what the guys do backstage inbetween songs: a LOT of running around. Joey actually trips backstage on his way to the front (funny stuff!). You wouldn't belive how many of their costumes the guys have on at once! The second they get backstage, the assistants are ripping their clothes off, only to reveal more pants and shirts on underneath.
This video really did capture the excitment of this incredible production! They have such a great live show, and this gives a chance for the fans who didn't get tickets to see exactly what these guys are like on stage. This is a must have for any Nsync fan!

The stage is massive. It has Pyro, Lasers, 'N Sync flying, Video Screens, Velcrow Walls, Mechanical Bulls, A second stage, Moving Walkways, Smoke, Glistining lights, an enormous crowd, dancers, band, crains, balconys, a video game battle and much more!
For those of you who are wondering, THIS IS THE FULL POPODYSSEY CONCERT. NOT A SONG IS LEFT OUT!!!!

I am SO excited for PopOdyssey Live to come out on video. I went to the concert at the Rose Bowl on July 24, 2001 ( the release date of Celebrity- incredible album!) and have never seen a better show in my life! I went to the No Strings Attached tour also and believe me, if you thought that show was great, this show was 1000 times greater! They are so extremely talented! Their singing was perfect! They were truly "in sync". There's no lipsinking ever with these guys because they always perform with a live band! The special effects were terrific, fireworks shot off all night! They have great voices, dance great, have wonderful costumes, and TRULY CARE FOR and LOVE their fans. What more could you ask--for except for maybe flying over the audience, mechanical bulls, an additional stage to perform on so the people in the back have a good experience, audience interaction, funny skits, and heart warming moments where they read letters from fans in the audience and dedicate the songs to them (shining a light on them)?Oops...wait... *NSYNC gave their fans all of that AND SO MUCH MORE. If the video only captures a small portion of that , you're in for a real treat. Their shows are just as special as trips to Disneyland except you have five extremely talented and gorgeous guys there instead of Mickey Mouse! Enjoy it!

This NSYNC concert was good, but not as good as the Madison Square Garden concert. The songs from the upcoming Celebrity album could have been performed better. Pop, the opening song suffers from too many explosions, especially the fireworks exploding 3 times to such overblown effect. The other album's songs sounded better in this concerts than the then new 2001 material. Plus the big ball tossing in the audience is a little annoying to see. While Celebrity has better material, the group just didn't translate the songs to a live setting that well. That's why I watch the New York concert more than this concert. Plus the reading of fan letters on various parts of the arena seems pointless in this show--they should focus more on the music rather than the filler that they did in this show. The ballad performances come off as bland and some of the dance numbers lack some passion. So save your money and buy the NYC show instead.

I have been an *NSYNC fan for four and a half years now. So, needless to say, I was very excited when I heard that *NSYNC's 2001 PopOdyssey Tour was going to be captured forever on DVD. It was, of course, a stadium tour (the biggest one in music history!!!), so there was the threat of bad weather with every show. The show I attended on July 31st in Tampa, FL, was rained on. Seriously. It rained steadily from 7:00 to 11:00, and the show was quite delayed. I stood in the rain for four hours, without a poncho, and IT WAS WORTH IT!!! This show is AMAZING!!! Usually at *NSYNC concerts I'm a screaming maniac, but this show actually caused me to just stand there and watch in awe, with this completely delighted smile on my face. I have never had more fun in my life. Besides the fact that *NSYNC performed all of their best songs, including a bunch off "Celebrity," they danced their butts off, as usual, and kept us entertained between songs with hilarious skits on the huge video screens. It was way more than just the guys singing and dancing -- it was more like a Broadway musical! There was a lot of acting involved! Like, for "The Game Is Over," they turned the entire stage into a huge 3D video game! They even had a boss! And for the skit before "Gone," they transformed themselves into silent film stars, and did an incredibly realistic job! "Space Cowboy" was one of my favorites, because during the instrumental break they rode these huge mechanical bulls. "God Must Have Spent" brought tears to my eyes, because the way they did it was just very reminiscient of *NSYNC's early days. It just brought me back to the years of early *NSYNC fan-dom. And of course there was the grand finale that no *NSYNC show is complete without, "Bye Bye Bye," which was too awesome for words.Read more ›
