Rainsticks are a dime a dozen. I didn't expect much when I ordered this one, other than it would be larger than average. The item description doesn't do it justice - this thing is HUGE!!! One can modulate it to get anything from a light rain to a heavy downpour. Due to size, the sound can continue much longer before inverting than with the smaller rainsticks. I was totally unprepared for this - and I love it.

Are you looking for a gift for someone who is interested in world music? Here it is. It's inexpensive. The service is fast. Best of all, it's beautiful and it's fun! If I were to do anything different, I might buy a longer one, but this one is fine. A bonus: The UPS guy was adorably puzzled by the long box with the fascinating sound : )

The rain stick is for my classroom as an attention getter, and the kids love it. Nothing like a rain stick to "shake" things up a little bit!

Love this! Exceeded our expectations! Its beautiful and big! We used this during musical play time especially while singing and dancing to our bedtime song. It can be a little loud or very soothing depending on how you play it. Great addition for durable musical instruments to add to your collection for adults or babies. Mine kids are 15 months and love it.

My daughter asked for a rain stick for Christmas, and this one is great. It is great quality, and fun for her to play with. I would recommend this product.

Awesome stick, althought I wish I had bought a bigger one. The sound is over before you know it. Very authentic feeling and looking.

Nice rain stick. The string on it (on the end on ours, not the middle) adds quite a bit to the appearance. If you want a serious rain stick, get a longer one. But for your money, this is a really nice one.
