I chose the NAD T785HD over Arcam, Denon and B&K competitors due to the modular upgrade feature. That very nice feature aside, I've been really impressed by this AVR. Great build quality, effortless power that puts other AVR's to shame, understated looks and runs very quiet. Simple to operate: intuitive in fact. Has pretty much every feature you could ask for without calling attention to them by glitzy lights and acronyms. A pleasure to own: even my wife likes it. A refreshing break from the numbing proliferation of Pacific Rim AVR's. If you are looking for a high end AVR, one that emphasizes performance and unerring attention to audiphile detail, well look no further: this AVR is money well spent.
