Easy to clean?
Vande Fam
They do require a hard suck to get liquid out so there will be no "gulping" but they do rock, with valves that are much easier to clean and are indestructible.

For those of you having trouble with the cup's valve, before using the cup for the first time, remove the valve and squeeze each side of it (it's cut in a cross shape). This breaks the seal and allows the liquid to flow perfectly!
I absolutely love these cups, and since our first purchase of them, I can't bring myself to buy any others. They DO NOT leak, at all!

I love this little water bottle, except one thing . . . its actually too hard for my toddler to drink out of. It has never leaked, hasn't broken in the several hundred throws, and its BPA free. But my 19 month old can't drink from it. I will keep it for him until he is older.

I have to say, the NALGENE Tritan Grip-N-Gulp BPA-Free Water Bottle is THE BEST sippy cup we have ever used! As a previous reviewer stated, these sippys DO NOT leak, except for a few drops that are already in the spout, when shaken. Also, these cups hold-up WONDERFULLY in the dishwasher, even over many years, being used on a constant daily basis. My 7-year old daughter used the "old" Nalgene sippys for many years, and now that they have come out with the BPA-Free versions, I have purchased a dozen "new" plastic sippys, and will be getting rid of all my old plastic sippys and bottles, especially now that my baby daughter wants to use the same kind of cup as Big Sister. :) These are so much more reasonably priced than the stainless steel sippys... which I found were $14+ each, and I love that the Nalgenes only have one valve to clean! If the new sippys are as spill-free and easy to clean as the old ones, I'll really love them, too! My daughters are excited for the new colors, as well... green and purple in addition to the original pink and blue colors.

I've been looking for a good sippy cup for my 2 yr old for awhile. We had been using the playtex leak-proof sippies since he was 7 months old and he has DESTROYED them! He bites the spouts, sticks his forks into the spout holes, and honestly, they only really last for a month or two. So, I was looking for something leak proof as well as a hard spout that couldn't be bitten or chewed off. Although this is more expensive than I'd PREFER to pay, I think it's worth the money and now, I'd rather use the one that we have over our other sippy cups. He likes that he looks similar to my nalgene bottle (which he likes to open and drink out of) and I plan to buy more! I'm not sure this would be ideal for a toddler under 18 months, I think you have to suck somewhat hard to get the liquid out. I've also only ever put water in this sippy. But, perfect for my 2 yr old! And, we can take it to bed for naps and bedtime without leaks!

My 4yo loves this water bottle. I followed another reviewer's suggestion and squeezed the "x" in the valve, and my son didn't have any problem using it. Seems very durable, great product.

We have been using the Nalgeen Grip-N-Gulp water bottles for years for our son. We rarely experience any leaks at all, and when we do, it is only a little drip, not a major mess to be cleaned up like other sippy cups. We decided to go ahead and purchase the same cups for our 6 month old daughter when we started her on sippy cups. I wasn't sure if she would be able to figure them out, but it didn't take her long at all. I did remove the stopper at first and tipped the cup up to her mouth so she would realize that something was supposed to be coming out of it. I then replace the stopper and held it to her mouth again, and before long, she was happily drinking from it. These are the only sippy cups she uses (now 10 months old), and we haven't had any problems with them at all. Great cups!!

I bought this item for my toddler because it is touted as the best drip-free bottle in a top ten list I read. It definitely is drip free but what makes it drip free also makes it hard to drink/sip from. Not the bottle to use to quench serious/immediate thirst.
