After all, who can forget the countless hours and quarters spent avoiding pesky ghosts, devouring delicious dots, and snacking on sweet fruit? Now PAC-MAN, the world-famous arcade classic, returns in this faithful rendition for Android--with the same spectral chases, quick decisions, and insatiably hungry yellow hero you know and love.
The Story
What? You want a story? It's PAC-MAN! Eat all the dots in the maze to move to the next stage while avoiding four ghosts. Eat Power Pellets to temporarily turn the ghosts blue and soften them up for snack time. Swallow them to send their eyes scurrying back to their base. Use their recovery time to snag all the dots in every corner of the maze. Eat the fruits and bonus items that appear for additional points and see how high you can score.
Will PAC-MAN ever have his fill of delicious dots? What exactly is a Power Pellet and why does it turn the ghosts blue? Is PAC-MAN trapped in a maze full of monsters, or is he the Minotaur to the ghosts' Theseus? It doesn't matter. Leave the speculation at the door, grab your Android device, and get to gobbling.
Choose How You Move
Control PAC-MAN using a standard flick-to-change-directions method, or try out the virtual-analog "PAC-PAD" method (new for Android).

Flick
The Flick method rewards fast fingers, as a single flick anywhere on the screen instantly changes PAC-MAN's direction, helping him avoid getting grabbed by the ghouls.
PAC-PAD
The PAC-PAD simulates an analog joystick like you've never seen before. Press and hold the PAC-PAD to grab the virtual joystick, then slide your finger in any direction and watch the PAD follow your movement. It's as close to playing PAC-MAN on an arcade machine as you can get without heading down to the old pizza parlor and placing your quarter on the cabinet for a turn.
Unlike playing at an arcade, interruptions like bus arrivals, bathroom breaks, and work don't have to get in the way of your progression. Just press Back to pause the game. The Pause menu also lets you adjust your control scheme if you want to switch.
Eat up all the dots in the maze, but avoid getting caught by the ghosts
PAC-MAN's Big Score
While the alternating two-player mode of the original isn't in this mobile version of PAC-MAN, you can still munch your way to high scores for bragging rights. Hand your phone to friends to see if they can top your PAC skills.
Earning Points, Counting Calories
Earn 10 points for dots, 50 for Power Pellets, and increasing levels of points for the bonus items, which include the cherry, strawberry, apricot, apple, pineapple, flower, bell, and key. Eat the ghosts while they are blue and rack up bonus points. You'll get 200 points for eating one ghost, 400 for two, 800 for three, and 1,600 for all four ghosts. Gain an extra life after 10,000 points. Play and see if you can get to level 255 and the game's end.
Wakka Wakka Wakka
Fozzie Bear is nowhere to be seen, so what's that sound? It's PAC-MAN happily inhaling dots and ghosts, making his oh-so-familiar chomping noise. All of the sounds that you recognize from PAC-MAN have made it into this Android port, including the exciting intro music, the haunting strains of ghosts gliding back to their base, the heartbreaking spiral of defeat, and the catchy "Coffee Break" music in between levels.
Rounding Out the Cast
Each of the four enemies PAC-MAN will face in the maze has his own bright, colorful personality.
• Blinky, also known as Shadow, is the aggressive, bright-red chaser of the group. He sticks to PAC-MAN like his own shadow, hence the name.
• Pinky, a.k.a. Speedy, is the ambusher of the group. This pink fiend wanders into corridors to cut off potential escape routes for your yellow friend.
• Inky, or Bashful, prefers to run away when he can. Get close enough to this blue guy, though, and he'll chase you down.
• Clyde, or Pokey, is the idiot of the group. No offense to him, but this orange moron always seems to be wandering off and forgetting the goal of taking down PAC-MAN.

PAC-MAN has done a lot in more than 30 years as an international gaming icon. From his innocent days as the unfortunately named "PUCK-MAN" to his cultural omnipresence today, nearly everyone has had PAC-MAN Fever. A Jack-of-all-trades, he's been the star of an animated TV series, an adventurer, a time traveler, a go-kart racer, and a staple on licensed products from cereal and clocks to bandages and belt buckles.

I have installed pacman or clones of pacman on just about every phone I have owned. this is the legit version very awesome. pretty simple to control with a touch screen, something I was concerned about when I downloaded it but it works excellent worth the download works flawless on the kindle fire

A lot of reviewers are saying the controls are awsome but I've had the opposite experience. For me, the controls are so bad I think the developer must have written the positive reviews. You cant slide your hand over or around like you would with a joystick. you actually have to use a forward motion on the joystick in the direction you want to turn. Its very difficult and frustrating when you try to simply slide your thumb to the right to turn right and the joystick stays in the up position. You actually have to flick yor thumb in a straight line to the right, its a pain and makes this just about unplayable.
