The colors of Nars eyeshadows contain more pigments than most, which accounts for some of the cost. These shadows always look a little different on than they look in the container; for one thing, many of the "wilder" colors go on sheer and more wearable than you'd expect for, say, orange, yellow, lime green or cobalt. I have very fair skin with a reddish undertone, and I have found I can wear many more of the fun colors than I could in any other line--they're subtle but still give a punch of color. I've used plenty of brands both high and low-end.

I love the "Night" line for eyeliner--applied with a push brush or angle brush. They all include a color with black, which makes them dark enough to help my eyes stand out. Night Fever makes my light green/blue eyes look amazing.

As others have mentioned, the color stays on a long time.

If you have never tried Nars, you really should go to a Nars counter and try some of them on. The colors look lighter and less rich in the photos. If you want to buy online, I would first check the colors on the Nars Cosmetics website --they have photos with much truer color swatches--you can roll over the color choices and see them.

I can not get enough of Nars eyeshadow. The colors are blendable and you can layer them to be as sheer or as bold as possible. My favorite is Santorini, it works well as an accent color or as the main focus of my eyes. You can ever use these as cake liners by wetting a liner brush, although as far as shadow goes application with the fingers seems to be the best approach.

The prices are a bit steep but I've had mine for a year and haven't had to buy more yet, as opposed to drugstore shadows that need constant retouching.

I really like the eyeshadow from this make-up line if only it was not so pricey. It is versatile, silky, and has staying power. The eyeshadow also has a different effect depending on your eye color and skin tone. If you are willing to pay the price, give this make-up line a try. My favorite colors are Strada and New York.

I tried this color on a whim. It has now become my favorite! It is such a great color because it is day or night suitable. It is kind of a shimmery taupe. It has purple and brown undertones. I wear it with NARS Bengali (a dark brown shadow). Ashes to Ashes is a great base shadow because its not dark or dramatic. I definetly recommend this color and brand.

Like the shadow ,but rather on the light side. Love it for daytime, dont suggest it for night wear unless you mix and match. Cant beat Nars quality and assortment.

this eyeshadow will last forever ... great pigmentation so a little bit gives a great touch of color. It looks great with brown eyes

This is a favorite in my make up case due to the fact that it creates a beautiful smokey effect when applied over eyeliner. LOVE IT! It is lasting forever as well.

NARS products never disappoint. You get exactly what you pay for. Great product. Lots of pigment. A must for any makeup geek.

I was introduced to this eyeshadow as an eyebrow color by a NARS makeup artist, and I've been using it for quite some time now. It takes very little to color my brows, and it lasts a LONG time when used this way. It's the best color I've found for me with my complexion and my red-blonde hair. Blond is usually too taupe, and auburn is WAY too dark. This color is perfect.

Sent the wrong size. I paid for the larger. Tried to rectify. Again, the wrong size. Good communication. Packaging was fine.
