4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good game with slight flaws October 18, 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Pros: you can play in RPG mode, battle mode, etc
You can play either good or bad
The voices are very close to the characters they are playing. (ex naruto actually sounds like naruto)
easy to do specials
very challenging game, 2 on 1 battles

Cons: not enough characters
story stops after you free gaara.
the more you increase your levels, your power bar doesn't really grow. For example,I have Naruto at level 55 but somehow Itachi at level 34 has a power bar more than mine. How come someone with a lower level can beat me, someone who has a higher level so easily?

Overall this game is fun but needs to be extended. I was hoping to play as 9 tailed naruto, pain, not even jaira was in the game or lady sunade.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing game, for a Naruto Shippuden fan November 19, 2009

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I recently bought this game and i was excited to buy this game since july when i knew that this was to be released in october. You can go through Naruto Shippuden Episodes (the first ones) and you can put the language (audio) in english or japanese (Japanese! perfecto for we that follow closely the serie and you know that its only with japanes audio) and subs in english and french. For me is a 5 stars game and i strongly recomend to Naruto's fans, buy or achieve it. You will enjoy it for sure!

P.D.: If you cant decide to buy it, i encourage you to buy it its a good one!

5.0 out of 5 stars The "sequel" to Uzumaki Chronicles 2 September 8, 2013
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Like it says in the title, this game is very similar to the Uzumaki Chronicle games on the PS2. You start off as Naruto, and unlock other characters later.

The Story closely follows the events of the Kazekage Rescue Arc. However, there are scenes in the main story that do not take place in the anime or manga. I liked that though, as this is about the 6th Naruto game I've played with the Kazekage Rescue Arc.

As for the gameplay, it's almost exactly the same as Uzumaki Chronicles 2. You have to explore the area you're in, and find the exit, or complete the mission objective. While at the same time, beating down all the different random enemies that show up. This can get repetitive, but it's a nice change of pace from the non-exploring 1 on 1 battles in the Heroes series.

You also have items and scrolls to equip to each character. Items are used in-battle and are things like ninja tools and food pills. Scrolls will be equipped to a character and do things like level up a jutsu's power or level up a character's attack power.

Other than the main Story Mode, you'll also have Mission Mode, Survival Mode, and Battle Mode.

In Mission mode, you have your ranked missions D,C,B,A,S, just like in the other Naruto games. They involve beating up certain enemies, or finding items ect. After each mission, you'll get an scene usually involving the Fifth Hokage. Each mission also gives you a reward, such as money, rare items, or more power.

Survival Mode is pretty straight forward. You have to defeat all the random enemies that appear in the area, before moving on to the next round.

Battle Mode is a simple 1 on 1 fight between 2 main characters. There's also a 2 player mode as well.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
As a rediscovered fan of Naruto, I find that a game like this has helped me get back into a series I used to like. The simple control system makes it a good choice for someone who is less then a pro gamer.
