Two videos that should be sold SEPARATELY!,
By Lisa Schlottman (Marion, IN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: NASA - The Greatest Show In Space, Vol. 9-10 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I feel that it is kind of hard to review these two videos since I believe they should be sold separately. The two really don't have anything to do with eachother. The first tape is only about the Challenger explosion and the second tape is about the 25 years of NASA and does not mention the Challenger explosion at all, regardless of what the box says. On the first tape, "Challenger- Disaster and Investigation," it tells about the events of the Challenger flight but uses very many scientific words that are unfamiliar to the average person. It shows the actual lift-off and explosion and describes what is happening in the footage and what went wrong. At the end of the tape, it shows the debris recovered from the ocean which is interesting to look at. I was a little disappointed when the film ended after 45 minutes when the box said that the running time is one hour. On the second tape, "NASA, The 25th Year," it basically tells about the beginning of NASA and Friendship 7, then Apollo and the moon landing, until the present time Space Shuttle. This tape is easier to understand because there aren't so many scientific words in it such as the first tape has. I believe this tape is around 50 minutes long; 10 minutes short of what the box says.
