Why advice to people with sinus congestion often suggests a neti pot and not a Birmingham nasal douche is beyond me. An ENT specialist recommended the Birmingham nasal irrigator to me more than 30 years ago. I can't even imagine how much sinus pain and needless medication this handy little device has saved me over the decades. A neti pot is large and unwieldy by comparison. Perhaps its effectiveness is comparable, but its convenience is not.
