This Bible is a good size for a purse or whatever you carry with you normally. The cover material is so-so. Feels like it might crease easily. But yes, for the price, it is a fine little Bible. Also, something I had expected but is not the case... the little design on the cover is NOT engraved like the other colors/designs this compact is available in.
The font is tiny! I had a teenager comment on how small the print was today. It is about the same size as the print in one of those Bibles you could fit in a pocket. I bought this as a replacement for a much better quality Bible that was lost. I knew I wouldn't be getting the same quality, but needed something affordable and portable. But something this inexpensive and not real leather won't last forever, especially if you're carrying it around daily.

Very well made pocket bible,

This is a very well made pocket bible. I call it a pocket bible- I don't know the exact size. It fits into my pockets, although it is a tight fit. It would certainly fit in a jacket pocket.
The contents are great- the nasb is widely regarded as the best translation of the "critical" text of the bible. It does not include a concordance or cross-references, but does have one page in the back that shows where some of the events in Jesus' life and teachings can be found- the front side shows where parables can be found, and the back side shows where the miracles of Jesus can be found. Though this lack of "helps" in this bible may seem like a weakness, it is indeed a strength. The layout of the text (double column) is very clean and well presented. In a bible with such small type as this, it is important that the text be kept clean for reading i.e. no superscript letters directing you to cross-references. In fact, not all of the textual notes that are available in the large version of the nasb text are included. For example, there are three textual notes in Chapter 1 of Genesis in the pocket bible. In the standard text found in larger nasb bibles there are 36 textual notes. Textual notes give alternative meanings and if there is a source text deviation the textual note will say something like "One early ms (manuscript) reads...." Much of that is cut away in this bible, leaving only a few textual notes. As I have stated before, the lack of clutter in this bible serves as a strength- though the font is small, it is fairly easy to read. The font is bold (btw this is a black letter edition) and is easier to read than comparably sized pocket bibles. However, if you are an older reader or do not have good vision, this is probably not the bible for you. The final thing to note about this bible is how durable it seems. Although I have not had this bible long, it feels very durable. The cover material is not leather, but it certainly feels like it will last. The paper, while thin, seems very strong. There is some "ghosting" on the pages of the bible (you can see the text on the other side through the paper), but not enough to distract the reader. Surprisingly, the signatures in this bible are sewn in. That means that the paper is stitched into the bible. I expected for the paper to be glued in, as many bible are. This bible is meant to last. Ultimately I believe this bible will serve several purposes well. It allows you to carry the Word of God wherever you are so you can meditate on it. It would also be useful for a person who is memorizing scripture since they could carry it with them and read it throughout the day. Remember: All Scripture is inspired by God, profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. II Timothy 3:16-17

This is a great bible, easy to carry around with me as a college student. I also enjoy the NASB version. The shipping was prompt.
