I am so glad I purchased this Bible. I couldn't believe how small it is and still have the large print. It is just what it says it is...God's Word, nothing more, nothing less. There are no marginal references or notes, just the Word. After the Index there is a section called "Promises from the Bible" and another one called "Perspectives from the Bible" along with several pages of maps. I would recommend it to anyone who can no longer comfortably read the small print in most Bibles.

This Bible is top notch, and is definitely LARGE PRINT, the reviewer who said otherwise must have large print confused with giant print, anyhoo this Bible's type is very easy on the eyes being a large print Bible, it is also made very well, yes, it is consructed out of Bonded Leather, which by the way this is the best leather this particular Bible comes in, you can get it in black or burgundy, i have had no problems with the Bible's binding coming loose, however i would'nt leave this or any other Bible in a hot car in direct sunlight, thats a no no for obvious reasons, the print is extra dark in both the black print and the red print (Words of Christ), sometimes the red print is a little lighter than the black in some Bible's, but not in this one, it's rich an dark, and easily stands out, i Highly Recommend this Bible and give it my Highest Awards, if there were 6 stars available this Bible would get them, oh, and for size, this Bible is not a small pocket or personal size, it is thin but is a little larger than your average Bible in length and width, giving it a great feel in the hand, and a great presence when set on the table, thanks for reading this review, i hope any mis-representations of this AWESOME Bible have been layed to rest.

I recommend this bible for those who travel or like to have the scriptures handy wherever they go. The size is perfect for transporting from place to place. It is less than an inch thick and has no study guides, which makes it easier to use when a passage needs to be found quickly or when one just wants to read. The binding is secure and durable. Even though this New American Standard translation is updated, replacing "Thee, Thou and Thy" with "You and Your", accuracy has not been compromised. The words of Christ are in red. There are also maps and a concordance.

I find this to be an excellent bible to carry with you. It does not replace my large study bible that I use at home but it does contains maps and a concordance.

I highly recommend this to anyone who is accustomed to reading a study bible for their daily reading. This New American Standard translation is God's word with out all of the references and commentary that can be distracting when you just want to read the Word. It's laid out very well, the print is quite easy to read, and it's slim design makes it easy to take with you. After reading the NKJV for several years I find the NASB to be a refreshing change.

This is a great Bible for carrying to church; it is thin, lightweight and easy to read. I use reading glasses to read a lot of things but I do not have to with this Bible. If you are truly visually impaired and not just a casual user of reading glasses like me I would recommend Giant Print. This is not my Study Bible. If you want a Study Bible with notes and references then get a different one. I love it. Just do your research and get the Bible that fits your needs. The description of this Bible (ISBN-10: 0310917972) says Hardcover but it is actually Bonded Leather.

I looked for this Bible for months. My husband teaches Sunday school and carries his bible with him everywhere so he can prepare. He had a list of things he was looking for. Leather, red letter, NASB, large print, etc... and we finally found all of those things in this Bible. The leather cover is beautiful. Burgundy not black though. The print is large enough though not giant print if that is what you are looking for. It is thin, sleek and easy to carry. This is an amazing Bible if you are looking for the Word but has no commentary or study sections so this is not the one you want if research and scripture references are a preferences. Overall this Bible is exactly what we were looking for.

I cannot carry a heavy Bible and this one is so perfect - large enough to read and thin enough to not weigh me down. The print is clear and easy to read and the cover is bonded leather but it isn't cheaply made. There are even helps in the back as to how to take care of your Bible. Its not a study Bible, but its great for carrying to church. I would strongly recommend this Bible to anyone.
