This documentary follows the high-speed action of the 2004 NASCAR season. The year saw a major change in how the driving champion was crowned. In years past, the drivers accumulated points over the course of the entire racing season, sometimes leading to the year's champion being known with many races left to go on the schedule. Starting this season, with ten races left to go, the top ten drivers were put into a playoff situation. Those ten drivers' points were reset to zero and only the points they earned in the last ten races were counted toward winning the championship. Officially Licensed by NASCAR

2004 was one of the best NASCAR seasons I can remember. By centering this video around the drivers who made the Chase, NASCAR IMAGES did the 2004 campaign a great disservice. Their previous "Year In Review" formats were MUCH better and much more entertaining. Of course, everything else about NASCAR has disappointed me since then, so in the grand scheme of things, I suppose a DVD is small beans. Glad it was only a buck.
