NASCAR Rumble, simply put, is an insane racing experience like no other. Its only similarities to the actual sport of NASCAR are the cars and drivers, but that's where comparisons end.

NASCAR Rumble lets you race 18 different courses in 6 locations from Daytona Beach to the Gold Country as you tear your way to the finish line. Even if you manage to find yourself in first place during the race, there is no guarantee that you're going to maintain your lead when you hit the finish line. Drivers can pick up crazy power-ups such as twisters and sonic booms, which send cars in front of them flipping off the track at the most inopportune times.

Graphics are stunning, from the water, trees, and mountains to the eye-popping detail of more than 30 NASCAR Cup cars and trucks. There are even seven NASCAR Legends, hidden rides, hidden tracks, and shortcuts, as well as a head-to-head two-player mode.

Purists may prefer NASCAR 2000, also from EA Sports, but in terms of action, NASCAR Rumble makes for a great trip. --Robb Guido

This is a very fun game! It is a cartoonish, arcade racing game along the lines of Mario Kart and Crash CTR but with the NASCAR theme. Hilarious announcers and larger than life gameplay! Not recommended if you're looking for anything resembling a racing simulator, but if your just looking for a fast, fun, loud game it's for you!

This being one of the first games I played on a playstation system, it's still after a year and half rates as the number one game for hilarious fun. Although one can play without Mayhem and enjoy comical comments as you race against the computer or somebody else, it's the "Mayhem" and racing with an Elite chicken truck that has caused me to keep this game long after I have traded all my others. Now that I have a steering wheel I am reintroducing myself to each track at each level and laughing at every twist and turn in the tracks. My suggestion is that those who have enjoyed NASCAR RUMBLE contact Electronic Arts and beg for RUMBLE II. Knowing the current growth in state of the art graphics I can only wonder what could come in the next version.

Nascar Rumble is the greatest racing game ever made for the sony playstation! The graphics are great, the music is great, and the control of the vehicles is very, very real. Not only can you be any one of the nascar drivers, you can also be several of the craftsman truck series drivers. Those who want something different can be a golf cart,rocket car, chicken truck, and many other "crazy" cars. The power-ups make this game even better. But you can also take them off and race a "real" race. Practice your skills before you get this game, only the BEST can win at the elite level.
