NBA Today
NBA 2K10 is committed to providing a realistic NBA experience. Just one aspect of this is NBA Today, in which all the real world matchups, news and stats are automatically streamed right into your game providing dynamic commentary and presentation elements based upon what is happening in the real NBA.

My Player Mode
My Player Mode is perhaps the most exciting new feature built into NBA 2K10. Instead of focusing on over all team status, My Player Mode is a career mode, allowing players at home create the ultimate NBA player from the ground, up and guide his every career move. Start as an undrafted rookie in the Summer Leagues, where you specify every aspect of your character's game and physical makeup. Work hard enough throughout the series of games played here, gathering enough experience points along the way to build the skills your player needs at his position and you may get an invite to participate in an NBA team’s training camp. And if you don't make the cut, not to worry there is always the D-League, where you can work more on your game until you get your next shot. Either way, the road to being an NBA star is a long and hard battle full of challenges.

Crews
Basketball is a team sport, and NBA 2K10 acknowledges this with its Crew functionality. Round up your friends and build the ultimate squad, using either your created players from My Player mode or an actual NBA team, then go online and battle other Crews for bragging rights and progression points as you try to climb your way to the top of the Crew leaderboard rankings.

Living Rosters
The 2K Insider and his team of NBA analysts continue to keep NBA 2K10 fresh with up-to-date team and player information, including roster and lineup moves, trades, injuries and player ratings. Now track all of the changes through the season with interactive menus and analysis.

Seamless Online Experience
Forget the past, with NBA 2K10 online play is fully incorporated into every mode of the game. Now you can play the AI, challenge the friend sitting next to you or play your buddy across town anytime, from anywhere in the game. The game features 1-4 player support in versus and coop play locally and 2-10 player support in versus and coop play online with up to a full five man roster on each side.

Signature Play
Signature Play pulls together all of NBA 2K’s player Signature Styles and adds in all-new Signature Tendencies and facial expressions, creating NBA 2K10 teams that play and react like their real life counterparts for an unbelievably realistic NBA experience.

New Intuitive Offensive Controls
All-new easy-to-use dribbling and post game controls allow you to pull off ankle breaking ISO-Motion moves and dominate like Kobe from the perimeter to the paint.

Shut Down D
Every NBA star knows that offense is flashy, but defense wins championships. With this in mind NBA 2K10 gives you the opportunity to show your stuff at both ends of the court. Shut down teams like never before with innovative defensive controls that allow you to shadow your opponent’s every move, deny position off-ball, and even select how you want to contest shots.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best NBA game EVER!!!!!, February 2, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: NBA 2K10 (DVD-ROM)
I've played three seasons in this game already and never get tired of it. I use the hardest setting to make it more challenging, just like in the real NBA games. Great graphics, realism. I love the announcers. I wish the crowd volume could be a bit louder though. Sometimes, it gets sooo quiet, there are literally no sound coming from the crowd. Menus take some time getting use to, but complete. This game completely dominate NBA Live series in every way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Graphic Settings are an Enigma, But Solvable !, December 20, 2010

Ok , if your like me and cant afford the best high end system your prone to get something like i have .
Emachine
Dual Core 3.0GH
32 Bit System
2 Gigs Of Ram
Nvidia DeForce 9500GT Graphics Card

I have read many forums where the Graphics on this game seem like slow motion after fiddeling with the settings for many hours .
And its true .... If you have a low end system you may experience this .
But Heres the settings i found to work and make the game run like a charm .
First of all make sure your antilaising is off on your graphics card settings in the control panel .
Also set your Graphics card toward the Quality end of running games not towards performance if its avaliable to adjust ...if not dont worry about it .
Now in the settings of the game , i found that if your video card is a good one like mine or better , you can set the game like this ,
but remember it a mixed bag of highs and lows to get the game to shine .

Video Settings : 1920 x 1080 ( If your desktop is in this resolution )
Refresh Rate = 59
Windowed = OFF
Vsinc = on
MSAA = OFF
MS Quality = N/A
Crowd Detail = Medium
Player = Medium ( This setting stumped me for a while ) !
Stadium = High
Sideline Characters = On
Texture Quality = Medium
Depth = On
Floor Glare = Off

Be sure to set the Gameplay settings for ( Gamespeed to 50 to 75 for a really Fun Time )

Once you Once you get the game running Youll have a very fun game .

3.0 out of 5 stars Some good, mixed with some bad, April 3, 2010

This review is from: NBA 2K10 (DVD-ROM)
It is really great that 2kSports has brought the NBA and MLB back to PC Gamers. This is one of my first experiences playing a 2kSports game, having been playing NBA Live for most of the time. There are so many great features on here that EA Sports never put into their game, however there are other things in this game which hinders the fun.

First the postives. The 2k series is well known for its presenation and that is no different in this game. It really looks as if you are watching a game on TV. This is especially seen through the Association mode, which is basically like dynasty mode in EA games. During the game, you get score updates, league leader stats, playoff standing updates while there is a break in the action just like you are watching a TV broadcast. The graphics are mostly pretty fluid, albeit with a few hiccups in motion in some of the players. Also, the commentary is pretty good. It sounds more fluid like they are having a conversation. With a good graphics card, the stadium and players look pretty good to the real thing. If only 2kSports games had the ESPN integration again, now that would be amazing.

The negatives are really in the gameplay, which is not the best place to have negatives. First, there is definitely something wrong with the AI in this game. At the default settings, the computer is really good no matter how great your defense is playing. Usually they will hit around 65-75% in field goals while you are hitting 45-55%. The AI usually hits mostly any shot open or in tight defense. This number is so distorted the game it makes it unplayable because the scores get so lobsided. Then when your team is on offense, even if your player is wide open they miss it. Fortunately, there are sliders to change the difficulty for the CPU to score and the user. I have most of the CPU and user sliders set at 45 and the game is more competitive, but I do see a high 60% scoring night for a CPU in some games. Another thing includes a fastbreak. Your players don't seem to run fast enough on a fastbreak. They seem to slow down a bit, which is a bit weird. Finally, rebounding is a problem too. Your CPU players don't seem to rebound, which allows the CPU team to get most of their offensive rebounds. Also, your players don't jump for your offensive rebounds as well. Sometimes this game can be really frustrating and unbearable to play with crappy gameplay.

This game could be really good, but gameplay features really puts a bad experience on this game.
