The game is great as are the graphics. My son has played this for hours and hasn't at all gotten sick of it. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that you cannot update rosters via the web as you can with the Xbox and Playstation versions. Because of this, recent trades aren't reflected on the rosters. For example, Hardin is still on OKC instead of on the Rockets.

I bought this for my 9 year old grandson and he loves playing it. He didn't have any trouble learning how to play and as often as his mom will let him, he's playing.

Bought this for my daughter, who loves her wii sports. She had some difficulty figuring out how it works, but she's only seven and has plenty of time to work it out.

This is a very good game. It has some flaws, which I'll highlight below, but I haven't stopped playing it since I bought it.

- The My Player mode is really fun, and addicting.
- The Graphics of the game are not great, but remember...you're playing on the Wii
- The gameplay is good, not great, but good.
- It's kind of fun playing with some of the older teams in the classic team mode.

- There are no online capabilities, which is weird since you can go online on the Wii...
- The New Orleans Hornets only have 8 players. No big deal, except you cannot sign players to update their roster because, "you need to have 12 players on the team". Well, I'm trying to put 12 players ON the team, so...

That said, I think if you chose them in the Association mode, you can sign players, or trade one player for two in order to build the roster up to the 12 players.
- There are no 2012-2013 rookies on the original roster. I had to create Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, etc. That's strange to me too.

I haven't really tried much besides the My Player mode, but I've messed around enough to know that this game is good. If you want better graphics, online stuff, and up to date rosters, you better get a Playstation or Xbox 360. If you just want a basketball game for the Wii, this is a good one to go with.

First thing I'm going to say is that I do have fun playing this game, it's a very enjoyable sports game and it is very addicting. Also it has nice graphics and runs smoothly. That said, it's essentially NBA 2k11. 2k put absolutely no effort into updating the version for the wii and it shows. They didn't bother to put in the 2012 rookies, they barely updated the rosters, they didn't include the signature skills, they didn't include my team and they barely changed my player at all. The only thing they cut is the 5 extra summer league games (which I am incredibly grateful for especially because the three games you do play are aggravating to no end.) Association mode is fun, but gets boring after 3 or 4 games so I keep on restarting. The mode I play most is my player, and after a while it gets fun, but I really wish you were allowed to customize your character better, you can't even give them tattoos or facial hair and they always end up looking the same. And you are incredibly, unrealistically, barely even playable when you start out, I mean by the time you come out of camp the max you can be is probably a 45 or so and that's pitiful, plus when you get started, no matter what your stats in game will be decreased by between 5 and 10 no matter what skill points you add on. When you actually start the season and happen get drafted to a team with horrible offense like the Grizzlies or Bobcats then watch out, the first month is completely unplayable since the cpu expects you do to most of the scoring and with your stats so low you just won't be able to. The cpu on your team is incredibly stupid and has absolutely no basketball IQ early on and since play calling is broken, you just kind of have to hope that the cpu does what you want.Read more ›

The entire game feels unfinished. The only part that is fun is the quick play games where you select two NBA teams for a quick match. All other modes are terrible and seem like the developers weren't even trying. The athletes all look like they're out of a horror movie and the "crowd" looks like pixelated goblins. The players float on top of the court like they're Jesus hovering above water and the random noises that they sometimes emit doesn't help enhance the game in anyway.

If it wasn't for the entertaining quick match this game would be truly awful.

This was a holiday present for my son but I must admit I play it just as much as he does. The graphics are good and play takes a bit of time to get used to but it gets easy after a while. Considering that this is for the Wii the graphics are good quality but not as good as the playstation. I like that you can be teams that are from the old days like the Old Celtics and Lakers.

My 10 year old son loves this game. There are a lot of options to play and loved the "my Career" game mode. He recommends it to fellow gamers.
