This game honestly feels like a Beta. It's as if the game was created and then left because they spent all the money on paying for marketing rather than put it into the game. Main menu has no music.. you have to wait for it load and watch the NBA TV preview, over and over again.

Menu system is still weird. Quick game is actually in the NBA Today Tab and then you have to press the circle button to bring up the nav and then you can select it. WHAT?! Why would you hide it that way, making it so unintuitive.

The problems that plagued 2k14 are still present in 2k15, I don't care what the other review magazines have been going on and on about. The graphics look the same, and sometimes even worse! The amount of "crazy eyes" in this game is just too freaky. Players are always staring into space and eyes are always looking as if they are drugged. The players have a glow around them a lot of times just to make them stand out. Watch warm ups and you'll see how pixelated it gets sometimes. It's as if they've never heard of Anti Aliasing. Sometimes, you can see them walking around and there's no shadows. This is 2014 and that's just amateur. It's not like the PS4 is not capable of it so there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't look stunning. Especially if it's a premade cut scene! Look at half time and watch your coach talking. No contrast, no shadow. Just plain lazy. Wait til you see how many interviews there with invisible players.

Gameplay wise, it's still VC based. For the love of god why must you make it so that I can't enjoy the game I paid $60 for? A pair of sneakers you want in game costs usually 1000 or more. For comparison sake, the Air Jordan 11 costs 10,000 VC. The PS4 version comes with a code for a free 10k when you enter it.

I'm actually shocked by the amount of people giving this game 5 stars, when it's borderline unplayable. I actually skipped out on purchasing a basketball sim last year, so I wasn't aware of the connectivity problems that 2K experienced than, but I'm certainly aware of them now. All in all, having been a huge fan of the 2K franchise, I'm really disappointed by this latest release. With EA struggling to produce a good Live game last year, I figured 2K would be delivering the knock out punch with this release, instead, they've left the door wide open for a hungry live team to produce a solid product.

I won't go into the facial scan features as that's already been well documented, and while it's a cool feature, I wouldn't consider it's lack of development game breaking. However, the fact that you can't play any online mode without intermittent disconnects, or worse, experiencing 2K servers being offline or over loaded, is indeed game breaking. Good luck trying to get into MyPark to hoop it up with some friends, if you do manage to make it into the park, the servers are so inconsistent, you'll be lucky if you can even get into a game. These server problems have also prevented me from enjoying online matchmaking, MyCareer, and MyTeam modes, where's the quality control 2K? I'm floored they released 2K15 in this condition, meanwhile, EA Sports delayed their title to insure it was polished (hopefully it is).

There's other things I don't care about 2K as well, as a huge fantasy sports fan, I've been playing a lot of Madden Ultimate Team, and I can tell you this, compared to MyTeam, the Madden Ultimate Team's user interface is so much cleaner, organized and well put together.

NBA 2K15 is an impressive all-around product. There is a ton of content within, a lot of work has been done to the various modes, and gameplay and presentation remain strong. It's unfortunate then that once again 2K is plagued by server-related issues and with them having created what is largely an "always-online" game it's continued reason for concern.

MyCareer - Still my personal favorite mode in the game, it's compelling even though the story is silly, you're forced to be a guy who's a jackass, and the voice acting is atrocious. I still keep going back to it regardless. This time around the story is based on being an undrafted free agent fighting for a spot on the rosters and working your way up in the league. Conceptually it's strong but also makes you think they went this way because your player starts lower rated and with less playing time so you'll want to spend money on VC to compensate. Having a practice gym to shoot in and the new way of upgrading attributes are positive changes.

Face Scan - This is the most infuriating feature I've ever attempted to use in a sports game and after nearly an hour of trying to complete it I've just given up. It has worked for some people, so it's not "broken" necessarily, but it hasn't worked well (see all the alien looking scans out there) or at all for many others. Considering some bought a camera just for this purpose or had it as their most anticipated feature of the game this year, that's a huge problem.

MyPark - This is a great concept for online but the servers and other issues (like standing around in "Got Next" and even getting stuck there and having to restart the game completely) makes it a rough experience for now. It has a lot of potential though.
