I played NBAJAM on the game gear and in the arcade ALOT back in the day, seeing as they were finally putting a new version out I somehow decided to see what was available from the past. NBA JAM EXTREME offers rosters current as of SEPT 11 1996. So you get old teams SONICS, BULLETS, and you get some classic players STARKS, PAYTON etc... The gameplay is as smooth as the dated hardware would allow it to be, and shooting is more finicky than other versions. The graphics aren't anything to get sad or happy about they simply work. The big blocks, sky scraping dunks and hilarious celebrations are present and all seems well until you realize that you are going to sitting through over a minute of load screens throughout a game. The hidden teams and players are here and the new extreme button is just TURBOX2. Simple fun old school basketball that will run on your PS3.
