I LOVE this game. The franchise is really fun and they made my lakers REALLY good. LOL. The Graphics are amazing and the game overall is just FUN. There are a couple of minor problems. Problem 1- The players movements arnt always realistic. Problem 2- There is no carrer mode, I think. If you have to chose between This and NBA 2K9 or NBA 09 The inside, get this its worth the extra $10 from NBA 2K9

I hired this out of the video store today, hoping to see a worthy competitor to NBA 2K10 for the old PS2. Sadly, apart from the choice of international teams and the World Championship, I cannot say this game is any good. The graphics are terrible, NBA 2K10 is far brighter and crisp. Also, the game has no fluidity, it's jerky and the controls are clumsy. Although we are now in a PS3/XBOX360/Wii era, there is still no excuse for jerkiness in games in the older PS2. Just compare the graphics in this game to some of the PS2 Madden games, and even NBA 2K10 and you realise they could've made a vastly superior game if they'd been bothered. If you want a decent updated NBA game for the PS2, go for NBA 2K10 instead, it is much better. I'm so glad I didn't go and buy this game

I've had 2 NBA Live games prior to owning the '09 version. Not a whole lot has changed from year to year besides roster updates and a few more changes in the playing options. I found this version to be the most difficult (on the most difficult level only), but I'm not completely sold on it yet. Fun game overall, and you get what you expect with an EA Sports B-Ball game.

I was looking at the ticked of a new nba live 09 to update my 06 live rosters for the ps2. And I almost forgot how bad the 09 live was. Anyhow I didnt plan on playing it anyways. Just wanted to create some players and copy their attributes. The create a player on 06 isn't the most accurate. But if I can get the players height, weight, attributes, and skin color correctly it works for me.

Anyhow no one even mentioned that you cant even control your roster properly on this one. Which explains how they didnt even take the time to put any effort in this one. O6 is the best ever as far as actual gameplay. And 07 has a good dynasty system. I forgot about 08 but I didnt keep that one either so it must of stinked too. 2k8 was better than live that year.

Anyhow if you play the dynasty you'll know what I mean. You cant reorder your roster or change it around unless you have an extra player on the ir list. And you have to switch him in and back out to reorder properly. No way a game 3 years older should look better and play better. But as it stands live 09 sucks. Only get it if you want to update some rosters for the older lives.

07 is cool too. But 06 is the first to introduce the freestyle superstar mode and it has the most action when playing against friends. What I like about 07 is you can have two superstar freestyle talents. Like Kobe can be a shooter or a scorer and you can switch them whenever you want. Cant do that in 06, but the game play is much faster and better in 06.

Another of my son's favorite game. The players look real and the sounds are very realistic as if you are at the game.

this is the worst NBA LIVE GAME, i play 2006 all the time and it doesn't even comapre. the rosters are exactly the same as 2007, no change in sats, no new pictures, just horrible. seems like they just wasted my money. i guess they were too laszy to make it look good for us ps2 lovers, never going to by a new nba live

The Playstation 1 game from a few years ago is better than this mess. Instead of the crosscourt angle to play you get the backcourt; and you can see very little of the court. The graphic are amazingly simple. Stay Away!

SO-SO GAME. EXPECTED A LITTLE MORE CHALLENGE. NOWHERE NEAR AS FUN AS NBA LIVE 09 FOR PS3. STILL I LIKE IT AND PLAY IT WITH MY LITTLE BROTHER. ENJOYABLE FOR EVERYONE.

I purchased this game for my grandsons. They love basketball and
say this game is so cool.
