NBA Live 2000 rocks! It gives you many choices of what to do. You can play an exhibition game, or arcade game (similar). You can play a season, in which you have the real basketball schedule of the 1999-2000 season. At the end of the season, you have playoffs, but if you don't want to play the whole season, you can skip to the playoffs. In the season, you can even trade, or pick up free agents! But watch the trading deadline! There is real dates in the season mode that keep track of the trading deadline, but you have a choice if you want the deadline or not. You can choose if you want rules or not, or you can make your own! You can go one-on-one with Michael Jordan, and if you beat him, he will be unlocked for your whole game. Pick him up as a free agent for your team, three-point shootout, or one-on-one on a schoolyard court. Awesome players, awesome graphics, awesome dunks, awesome everything! (Controller Pack is almost a must for this game)

I think that NBA Live is the best basketball game there is! Live has come a long way since last year, they've improved the dunks, the graphics and artificial intelligence. I'm also glad that they if you use turbo and run into a player they don't get knocked down and you don't have so many fouls in the game. I really love this game and recommend this game to everyone!

This game is absolutely outstanding in every aspect. The graphics will amaze you at every moment and the amount of options is perfect. There are six games which include one on one street basketball where you can play anyone in the NBA plus Michael Jordan himself. Arcade mode is place to go for sky high dunks and fast paced action with no rules. There are also hotspots which appear on the court about two times each quarter. They only stay there for about five seconds but if you shoot while standing on one, you'll make your shot every time! There are also the usual gamemodes, exhibition, season, playoffs and there's also a three point competition. The really good thing about this game is that you don't have to know anything about basketball to enjoy it, plus it's easy to play for beginers and the computer doesn't give you a complete hiding if you don't know how to play. Highly recommended.

I have been a big fan of basketball games ever since tecmo basketball for the old sega genesis.

Each year the games improve their game play and realism.

I have NBA Live 96 of Sega genesis and NBA Live 97 for my computer. NBA Live 2000 blows both of those away; even the computer version.

My biggest compliant about NBA Live 97 was that I could just push the opposing player out of bounds and create a ton of turnovers. NBA Live 2000 has fixed that problem. You can no longer push people out of bounds and if you try to hard you will get called for the foul.

The graphics and gameplay are absolutely unbelievable. The players have a variety of moves and dunks are very realistic (you don't always succeed with a dunk, ala Shaq's missed dunks in the playoffs last year).

I really like how the steals and blocks works in this game. In old NBA Live games and if you stole or blocked the ball your player automatically had possession of the ball and you were off to the races. Now, if you steal or block the ball you may have to run down the loose ball; this is much more accurate than the past.

It is the BEST basketball game out there!

This game is awesome! It has awesome graphics,its kinda hard to control, awesome sound and a great value. You can make your own dream team. Create player and much much more! I definetly reccomend you to buy this game.

A frequent topic that comes up in conversatins with me is what is a good basketball game? There were always only 2 contendors, the NBA Live Series and NBA Jam. After the 2000 series of both games came out, it was clear that Live was better for anyone. I especially like 1 on 1 with MJ and the 3 points shootout. Overall its fun for one player to play a season or four players to play arcade b-ball. Happy Shooting!

This is the best basketball game I've ever played. Jordan makes the game worth the money. A must have for all basketball fans.

I have enjoyed the NBA Live Series from the start. As each new update is released the more I like the updated version. I am extremely pleased with this latest version. The one-on-one action is an exceptional treat, especially against His Airness. The graphics are superb, while the action is "fan-tastic." On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 6! "I LOVE THIS GAME!"

This is a good game, and if you dont own the previous years' titles, definately buy it. It just seems that they dont add new features to make the game more interesting. They need some sort of franchise mode to make it better. It does have close to, if not the best gameplay though. I also have NBAJam2001, and that has the franchise mode, but it is not anywhere near as good when you are actually playing the game. If you dont have previous years' games, or if you want the updated rosters, buy this one!

NBA LIVE 2000 lives up to be a very great game. Having arcade mode with exaggerated dunks to the real nba game. It even has Michael Jordan 1 on 1 for a challenge and 3 poing shootout for fun. You can play the playoffs or play the whole season in season mode. People who have previous versions of nba live will have a great time.
