It is very fun. I always play with my friends and we never get tired of it. It has all the 2002 players so it's updated. You can be old players to. There is Exabition, Regular Season, and Playoff mode. It's a great game

If you are a big fan of the NBA Live series please don't waste your money on this garbage (Not that you would anyway since there is a 2003 version now :P. Just have to get my opinion out). This is the same thing as the 2001 version, except with a new opening movie, and some roster changes, which with a little work, you can make for yourself on the 2001 version (like i did) and save yourself some hard earned cash. NBA 2003 is highly recommended over this P.O.S.

This is one of the best NBA video games. The gameplay is not aggravating. Moves are not complicated which makes playing the game easier. If you like winning games against the computer in rookie mode this is the right game. Most of the other NBA video games are not as fun to play.

The game handling of NBA Live 2002 is much better,, except of the very much obvious fake audience which looked like a bunch of polygons..Yet, EA Sports managed to release such great basketball game for PSX.

The best features:
They added some of the retired NBA's best players (from 50's to 80's), new uniforms, courts, etc...The sounds were more realistic- from crowds to the players and their conversations where the players are sneering each other (check out the 1-on1 challenge)...The faces of the players are much improved and the game control is much easier.

For the first-time sports gamers, this game is for you, better see it.

It is missing referees, I mean the game says that you can argue calls but here is the problem, you don't see any referees until you are ready to argue a call, what sense does that make? Overall though it is a pretty exciting game, and I would recommend it foor anyone who wants a good B-Ball game.

Unless you want the rookies from the class of 2001, along with the latest roster changes. But other than that, the game is exactly the same, if not a little bit worse, than 2000 and 2001.

Also, what is up with the "eyewear" feature in the created player screen? What basketball player has ever worn any of the types of sunglasses they have? They need to get rid of all the funky sunglasses, and put in some basic goggles, the facemask that Laimbeer and Lucious Harris wore, and maybe a couple basic frames, Rambis style, and maybe one other. But all these stupid sunglasses, come on!

I think NBA Live 2002 is great. It has real good graphics and is fun to use legendary players. One of my favorite things about the game is it is easy to remeber the controls almost instantly. I like it when the basketball players go for a slam dunk that your controller vibrates. I think it is the best basketball electronic game so far.

through 2001 but its still the best.

I bought this for my ps and i am [upset]. this is basicly nba live 2001 with a diff movie, music and some roster changes. they didnt even bother to change the graphics, play modes, or even the anouncing. if u r looking for a good nba game dont waste [your money] on this go for shootout 2002 or something.

This is a wonderful game with great graphics and smooth gameplay.
The create a team option is good with spectacular logos. It has players from the past that are really awesome to see play in one on one or in a regular game. The only bad thing is the one on one mode. That could use some help. Other than that this is a magnificint game.
