This game wasn't anywhere near as fun as I expected. The game is slow and takes a long time to load. It is hard to learn and control. There are to many confusing options that affect how you play. In fact, most of the time, it doesn't even work. There's an 'illegal opperation' message almost every time I manage to start the game. That means that you have to start all over from scratch. I don't reccomend this game to anyone, escpeccily those who get impatient quickly.

Buy it, install it, and play it for hours, days, weeks, month and years. This must be the best suggestion for those that can't get tickets to see NBA games (like we over here in Europe do) or those that aren't good enough to play NBA themselves (yeah, that would be me too).

I've owned this game for years, and even in 2003 it is still really cool. The players are realistic, and they do little dances when they dunk. I recommend it to all basketball fans.

i play this game all the time because it is cool in the pool. the teams and the players rule. get this cd as a st patricks day gift. basketball.

What a waste. OK, so I bought the game on the discount table at a major retailer, but still I find it not to be worth it. Far too many lockups that are confusing to correct. Game keeps going into a pause mode unexpectedly. I assumed there would be an option to turn off the Internet dial-up every time we load up the game, but I can't find one.

graphics are not very good compared to nba live 2004.
this game is great!

I'm writing this review in 2003, so I guess the graphics would be pretty awsome for it's time. Me and my sister decided to by this at Toys R Us in 2001, and I still like it,so for it's time, I'd give it 5 stars, but for now, I just like the little dances they do after dunks. So I'll compromise with the old-timers and give it 3 stars.
