Wow! This game is cool! Last years versioned sucked but they came back with a strong game! It kinda copies NBA Live with the freestyle stick, but it's alot easier to get by your opponent with it. The graphics are great, way better than last year! The players actually look 3-d! They look like they do in real life. The gameplay is great, and it's very fast paced. You can even create your own dunk, you can do flips and Spin dunks. When you create a player you can put all of his abilities at 99, which is perfect! If you like Live 2004, which sucked because the gameplay is too fast and you really can't hit nothing, or NBA 2K4, you should try this. It's way better than both of them! Pick this up at your local store!

great basketball game here,graphics are tight,game moves smoothly,messages boards,live sports ticker, online tournments,u can also email fellow 989 players, never play any other basketball games,so i can't really compare it to the others,but i have fun playing the game,you should check it out

This game is crap! First off, the players easly drive down the lane and score a layup. Second I finished a game and I only missed 7 shots, that is not realistic. Well there is not much more I can say exept do not wast your mony on it If you want a nba game that's worth the mony, get nba live 2004.

The game new game, NBA Shootout 2004 has taken kids by storm. This new basketball game is not like most basketball games. There are new features such as unlocking 50 of the NBA's greatest players such as Wilt chambirlen. In this game you can call double teams with just the push of a button. It also alows you to create your own player, but instead of just creating it you have to start of in the miners and work your way up to the NBA and become and NBA superstar. The anolog control gives you complete control of the player. Special features alows you to use players special moves such as T-macs/Iverson's crazy crossovers and Iverson's and Gary Payton's "Glove" to steal the ball. And yet with all of this the game only cast around $20. This overall I would give to thumbs up or should I say 5 baskets.

Well, let me start by saying that this game is bad. The gameplay is superficial ( and buggy ), the soundtrack is horrendous, with only 4 or 5 songs, the skill level for this game is for toddlers, etc. The only reason that I'm giving it 2 stars is because the career mode is a little deep, and the summer games are kind of good, but otherwise, it's buggy and bad.
If you are looking for a good sports game, don't look for a game made by 989 Sports, look for one from EA Sports, like Madden NFL 2005 or NBA Live 2004.

This game is horrible.The graphics are bad,the players dont even look like anyone they are suppose to be.The eyes have this weird alien look to them.Their heads are always at an upward angle.The playing part of it isnt that great either.Very easy to beat and win.No talent needed to play.Maybe if i hadnt played ESPN NBA Basketball it wouldnt seem that bad but even so I would have given it a very low rating.

The best basketball game I've ever played in my life!

This is the worst game u will ever play the graphics stink really bad and the commentating stinks im playin rite now and im the sixers listen to this horrible commentaitng-iverson passes he misses thomas rebounds he passes to snow snow shoots snow misses the sixers cant make a basket today-and thers only 1 commentataor with this squeaky voice this game stinks so bad tha im never buyin a 989 sports game again (even though i have mlb 2002 which is pretty good)instead im returning this game and because i have only a ps1 and they didnt make nba live 2004 for ps1 im getting nba live 2003 I only gave it one star becausethey wont let me put 0 stars

Ok, I only rented this for five days. And if your wondering about online things, my adapter wasen't regesterd yet. I played a demo of NBA 2K3 and sucked really bad! NBA Live 2004 to me looked way to fake (from mini movies). NBA 2K4, well... the net movements look real. NBA Shoot Out 2004 is between fake and real for the net movements and player movements. It's beter to have a little from all things than one. sorry the review wasn't good, game boy out.
