This game is a lot more fun than NBA 2K. I've played both, and in comparing them, this is simply more fun. In NBA 2K, everyhting is completely difficult and a little TOO realistic. If you're like I am and like high scoring games and over-the-top fun (with simple controls!), then this game is for you. Plus, in what other game can you create a horse and make him dunk?

.........................It is very entertaining. great dunks (w/celebrations), yoju get to pick your players as well as creating them as you wish. at half time you get to substitute new players if you want to. Overall, highly recommended to ALL ages.

If you like the old school NBA Jam titles, you will LOVE NBA Showtime. This game is your classic arcade basketball game. NBA 2K wasn't fun because they tried to make the game too realistic. If you want a fun basketball game, pick up NBA Showtime: NBA On NBC for the Dreamcast.

Overall NBA Showtime is a pretty nice game. But I guess the NBA Jam formula has just gotten old because I remember Jam on Genesis being more fun. If you have never played Jam this may be great spectactular fun with lots of cool options. Again, this overall is a pretty cool game, not the best but still alright. Midway has now succsesfully created good x-treme football and Basketball games so lets get workin on a baseball one.

I'm a big fan of the NBA Jam series of games, which this is a part of. However, the big difference between this game and the others in the series is that defense is nearly impossible. If either team wants to dunk, its going to happen. Even if you block a shot, the other team will likely get the rebound and dunk it anyway. Passing is so quick, that the other team can make 5 passes in 2 seconds for an easy dunk. This is the case against the computer or other players. It's just not much fun when offense is so easy and hard to stop.

NBA Showtime is one of those great pick-up and go games that has enough replay value to keep you there. 4 player is where it is at. Have you and your friends create characters and then duke it out. It is fun to see the Toronto Raptor mascot fly over the Charlotte Hornet. If you are tired of NBA2K and their sloppy passing then pick up Showtime it is way better in the long run.. trust me I own both games and Showtime keeps me coming back for more. Sean

anyone who doesn't LOVE this game doesn't like arcade basketball games..."impossible" defense my... well you get it. the difficulty settings are great and no mattter how hard or easy it's still very fun. also it helps if you have friends, at least 2 of them to play this with.

one of the best multiplayer games ever. if you have a dreamcast there is no excuse to not own this game.

NBA showtime on NBC is a cool 3-D game that I still haven't beaten yet! But I'm close. You can creat your own players in this action packed 4-player game and you can be team mascots!

I could've swore i played the game for my n64. The game was called NBA HANGTIME.IT was ok but this game has a little more. MORE heads in create a player mode, BETTER sound (especially the announcer) AND MIGHT I ADD WAY BETTER DUNKS. Though the game was the game was fun it feels like dajavou.

I played this game about a month ago in the arcades and i couldnt stop playing it.Now that it is out for the dreamcast i dont have to keep on waisten my quarters to play.NBA2K is a good game but this has got to be the best.buy it and tell everyone else to buy it.most basketball games really suck,but this game is the funnest.It might be because its kinda like a blitz thing.But just buy it!
