5.0 out of 5 stars words fail May 11, 2007

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I've never before played a video game that made me laugh out loud. But this one does that and more. Sure, there are more realistic games out there. But one doesn't always want realism when one is playing a game. Sometimes one wants to breakdance on the ball to the tune of Herbie Hancock's "Rock-It," then leap off Shaq's back, land standing on the rim, and throw down a MASSIVE dunk that sounds literally like a bomb while the name of one's hometown flashes on the screen. I know it's not original (old fans of NBA Jam will know what I mean), but the brilliant idea of combining real-world playgrounds and NBA stars with the physics of fantasy games makes this a game anyone can love.

I haven't felt inspired to write an Amazon review for years. And I'm 40 years old. This game is straight-up SICK.

4.0 out of 5 stars For the price, it's good. January 26, 2010

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Shooting is too weak and dunking is too easy, but the game is enjoyable to play from time to time. Not bad considering the price. I wish you could choose and unlock certain handles and dunks like an old one I had on ps2, but there isn't that much customization in this game.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great basketball game! June 8, 2007
Platform for Display:Xbox 360
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
The graphics, sound, gameplay, and fun factor will win almost anyone over. The presentation is excellent and you'll get to learn where the top NBA talent grew-up along with the street courts that helped forge their game. The computer AI set on "hard" gave so much of a challenge that I could swear "they cheated", but that's what some of us pay for.

However, if you prefer realism, this is not the game for you! As a matter of fact, this is a cross between X-games and basketball--the tricks are that sick! The gamebreaker mode was seriously upsetting my buddy because he didn't know how to activate it or do the tricks to enable it either. This takes a little bit of practice due to the ultra-thin manual. When the Gamebreaker mode kicks in, some of you older peeps will recognize the song from the breakdancing days of the early 80's.

The build-a-baller is great. There are many options to choose from starting with position (Guard, Forward, Center). The position you choose will determine size and starting attributes which is a departure from the "make him big & tall with mad handles & dunks and the rest will work itself out" thing. Then you can customize the players face/clothes/shoes. As you win in the Homecourt Challenge, you will be able to upgrade your starting team with the feature player from the team you just beat. Also, with each win, you'll be automatically awarded attribute points to make your baller great and unlock shoes and clothing to allow even more upgrade points to your player. I really like this feature and I'm am sure you will too!

All-in-all, this is a solid game. I haven't found anything to be buggy or glitchy and you can just pick up a controller and play. Maybe not very well, but your friends will have fun playing right away.

4.0 out of 5 stars Street review July 28, 2007
Platform for Display:Xbox 360

NBA Street Homecourt is the best of the series. I love the way you can create your player and tricks. Street Homecourt is way more fun to play on Multi-Player. I play it all the time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Homecourt delivers! July 14, 2008
Platform for Display:Xbox 360
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Home court is a 8.5 out of 10 in my eyes .... A lil' bit of botton smatcher but overall is a good game to go online and battLe it out with other playes, and friends. I own it for the xbox 360. Is great to play with others and the reason why I give it a 8.5 out of 10 instead of a full ten is because on carrier mode I got bored. I am a Old school Nba fan and new school Nba street and tht is the eason why I own this game. It's a must buy if you are a basketball fan.

Hope ny review helps Peace!

This game is surprisingly addictive. If you like character progression and basketball with ridiculously outrageous moves you'll most likely get a kick out of it. Also fun to play with friends.

This is a fun game. It is more arcade then realistic. You can play with WNBA players and NBA players.
