5.0 out of 5 stars Sunday Night Football Cookbook
This cookbook is a must have for people who love to eat good food as well as those who are fans of profesional football. It is an excellent combination of fun football facts coupled with a wide variety of recipes from current and past NFL players as well as professional chefs. The book is well layed out and covers appetizers to dessert from all four regions of the...

I recieved this cookbook as a gift. My sister thought it would be good since we hold football sunday at our house every week. I recieved the book and was disappointed in the selections of recipies. The title is misleading. I was thinking good wing recipies, good bbq, recipies you would not be slaving in the kitchen for hours. It is just a collection of football stars fav...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not typical football grub., February 23, 2009
This review is from: NBC Sunday Night Football Cookbook (Hardcover)
I recieved this cookbook as a gift. My sister thought it would be good since we hold football sunday at our house every week. I recieved the book and was disappointed in the selections of recipies. The title is misleading. I was thinking good wing recipies, good bbq, recipies you would not be slaving in the kitchen for hours. It is just a collection of football stars fav recipies not entirely intended to be served on game night. Also selection of recipies is on the football salary. Alot of Claims, salmon, shrimp, lamb, duck, lobster, filet mignon. Poor people dont eat that way. It does have a few good recipies though which i will use. But the book is very nicely done, very colorful and interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Recipes for Entertaining!, October 24, 2008
This review is from: NBC Sunday Night Football Cookbook (Hardcover)
I am not a huge football person but I saw this and thought the food looked fantastic. I have made several of the recipes in the SNF cookbook and they were all a big hit with my party guests. This is a good cookbook not only for those who love seeing what their favorite athletes love to eat but also for entertaining. Some recipes require more work than others but overall, I highly recommend this cookbook.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, November 14, 2011

This review is from: NBC Sunday Night Football Cookbook (Hardcover)
I purchased this book for my personal use and for ideas of foods to serve at football parties. The recipes for the most part are complex, complicated and very expensive. Additionally, the selection is not by any means usual football party food. However, hopefully all of the proceeds go to feed the hungry.

1.0 out of 5 stars No football food!!!, October 7, 2009
This review is from: NBC Sunday Night Football Cookbook (Hardcover)
I bought this book thinking it would contain great "football" food like wings, nachos, dips, etc. Instead, they are all fancy dishes that have ingredients that I can't even pronounce, and I'm college educated! My husband and I were extremely disappointed as we host football parties on a continual basis. Now if you are looking for fancy recipes, this would be a great book. It's laid out very nicely and has a ton of color photographs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Matthew G. Rosenberger, Publisher, ABC City Guides for Kids, September 25, 2008
This review is from: NBC Sunday Night Football Cookbook (Hardcover)
This is a FUN book with great recipes and fun facts. Also noteworthy in this book is the list and information about the contributing chefs. This book would make a perfect Thanksgiving Day present to a friend of family member who loves food and football. As far as the recipes themselves, there is a wide range there and some exciting combinations. I love this book.

I like John Madden. He is my kind of eater. Who else would serve a six legged turkey on Thanksgiving? I also like Faith Hill. They have teamed up to bring a whole lot of great recipes for tailgating and home football watching. We all know that football days are for a lot of eating as well as the game.NBC Sunday Night Football Cookbook

Their were too many steps and most recipes took over an hour or two to get ready.
I love to cook but these were too much.

2.0 out of 5 stars Mainly heavy duty meat recipes, April 8, 2009
This review is from: NBC Sunday Night Football Cookbook (Hardcover)
This book seems like a flash from the past, (i.e.1950's) lots of meat recipes with heavy sauces. Was hoping for quick game day dishes and some salads, desserts. Recipes are too complicated and calorie laden for today's diets. It surprised me that there weren't healthier dishes in this book.
