And I don't want to. These headphones kick ass. They come in a nice semi-hard case with quart-pin converter, mono-split converter, a battery, and a very lengthy audio connector with a volume control. All of which fits into the case including the headphones with enough room for a 160gb iPod classic. The set up for these headphones is awesome. The sound quality is amazing. They work without the battery power controlled by a little switch like normal over the ear headies. The battery boost adds a significant amount of overall equalizer amplification. They do an excellent job with the noise cancellation. DON'T WEAR THEM WHILE CROSSING THE STREET! Plus, the detachable wire/cable allows for easy de-tangling in addition to allowing you replace just wire instead of assuming the entirety of headphone is broken. Overall, these headphones rule. I hope this review helped.

These headphones are great! They are constructed well, very comfortable, and worth the price. I wanted to address some things mentioned in previous reviews. Some people were skeptical because of the "hissing sound" when noise cancellation is turned on. First off, you cannot hear the "hissing sound" when listening to music...and if you visited the Able Planet site, you will find out that it is a part of the Linx noise canceling technology. However, this noise is a bit annoying when I watch movies on my computer, because there is no continuous audio (ie the characters are not always talking), therefore the hissing sound becomes prominent at points. I use this product everyday for 8 hours, and they remain comfortable, but sometimes I have to give my ears a breather because they understandably get hot. I was surprised at how soft the gray cushions are...the pictures do not do it justice, they are similar to memory foam. I was very skeptical when I bought these, but I am very happy with them and recommend for anyone.

Good:1) The noise canceling works great - they block out almost all mid to low range frequencies and much of the high frequency background noise. 2) They are very comfortable to wear. I probably use mine for 5 hours a day without a problem. 3) The aux cable disconnects at both ends which is really great because if the cord gets caught on something while youre walking the adapter at the end won't break/bend (this has happened to me twice) 4) Decent bass and sound clarity is pretty good too... Bad: 1) The battery doesn't last as long as I would like it to, but still a long time. Mine probably works for a good 20-30 hours maybe 2) The sound leaks out so that if theres anyone else in the room they can hear what you're listening to Overall, I would still DEFINITELY RECOMMEND these headphones. The goods far outweigh the bads. Trust me you'll be pretty happy. Fast shipping too...

The hissing from the noise reduction was annoying but to be expected at this price point. The fact that under daily usage they BROKE within 8 months is not acceptable. A look at where they broke show poor design, not enough plastic at a stress point. Save your $ and stay away. BTW the is no warranty information available at their site and they do not respond to emails!

Good NC Headphones for the price,

I rate these a buy. I am an international frequent flyer and I do know what to expect from NC (noise cancelling) headphones. These mute continuous noise like fans or the engine drone while enhancing your music although you may still hear random but muted non-droning sounds. They are white but I don't care if my headphones or belt match my shoes. They came with a dead battery but I'm not lowering their rating for that. I use them on the plane and at home. There are three choices to get noise cancellation: cheap, mid-price or expensive. Cheap: buy earplugs. Mid.- buy these and get great sounding music in a muted environment or pay $300 and get the Bose if you must have total noise cancellation that will silence everything around you.

I work for a court reporter who takes down the record via voice recognition technology. I then receive the rough transcript along with the audio files to "scope" the transcript and produce a clean, error-free product. Deponents and attorneys mumble, speak over one another, drink beverages while talking -- the list of annoyances is endless. Oftentimes correctly hearing what is said is difficult, but it is my utmost job to do just that. For that, a good set of headphones is invaluable. I have tried many types/brands in the last 10 years of doing this work. I bought these on a whim when I needed a second pair for my scoping work while at the cabin. I could not be more pleased or more surprised in how well they have functioned. So much so, in fact, that I bought this second pair to replace a high end set of Philips noise cancelling headphones. The volume control is so very helpful to me. I use the headphones in conjunction with a Boostaroo Revolution and achieve great results. Now, how are they for audiophile usage? Don't know. Although I am also a professional musician, I have not used them for listening to music. Actually putting on headphones and listening to music, for me, is sort of like a Busman's Holiday, so I avoid that :) All in all, I am well pleased with these headphones. One major point for me is being able to wear them for v-e-r-y long periods of time without any ear pain, resultant headaches, or just the feeling that I want to rip them off of my head -- believe me, some headphones are like that when you wear them for hours and hours. I cannot comment on their longevity. This is my second pair. My first pair I have had for about 6 months with no problems.

These are very comfortable headphones, but that's about the only positive I can report. Their noise canceling feature is not all that great, but I could have lived with them at this price point IF they had not had a bizarre choppy helicopter like sound in the left side. It seems to be triggered by any type of airflow around the head. I just read the reviews of the same model but in black (NC300B) and a reviewer there mentions the same thing. I am sending these back.

These are the first noise canceling headphones I've ever purchased and I really wasn't sure what to expect. When I put them over my ears and flicked the power switch, the effect was astonishing to the point of being downright creepy. Almost all external noise instantly vanishes. This isn't to say that you can't hear outside sounds at all, but they are extremely muted. The digital signal processing works particularly well on noise that is consistent, such as the constant roar onboard an airplane. The headphones are comfortable and the audio reproduction is excellent. Even the case is top notch. These are definite "keepers."

The sound quality of these headphones is great, its powerful and clear.I have two complaints with these headphones, the first is that they don't seem very durable (but I guess that's what the hard case is for). The other complaint I have with these headphones is that when air is rushing over them (like an airplane air vent) it makes a faint pulsing sound. The volume control on these headphones is a must, and when I was researching headphones I couldn't believe how many headphones didn't have a volume control. Now possibly the most important part of these headphones, the noise cancelling. Since these are circumaural headphones they block out a lot of noise just by putting them on, and when you turn on the noise cancelling it gets even better. The noise cancelling on these headphones are definitely as good as any I've ever owned. I'd definitely recommend these headphones to anyone not looking to shell out a big lump of cash, also get these white ones if it doesn't bother you not having black, because for some reason they are 20-30 bucks cheaper... Hope it helps!

After several flights, I have determined that these headphones do what I bought them for: protect my ears! If I listened to my iPod before, i had to have the volume cranked to 100%! can you imagine how loud that was! now with the noise reducing function on, i only have to have the volume at 1/4 to 1/3 the level before the headphones. but mostly i don't listen to music, i just have them on while i am on the plane, no music. i am very happy with these, given that i didn't have to pay $300 for Bose. no, they're not Bose, but my goal was to save my ears & hearing for the next half of my life!
