This is a very informative book, but it's mainly geared for the Xbox 360 and PS3 games. There is some good info for the PS2 and Wii games.
It gives good explanations on gameplay and the different formations and plays for both offense and defense. It explains what formations and plays are good for certain situations.
The book breaks down all 120 FBS teams, offenses, defenses, formations used, favored plays, and impact players. It doesn't have the players names.
It's a good reference for the questions asked in the Campus Legend mode exams. Mascot names, team nicknames,trophies, etc.
Something like this in condensed form, and specific for each game console, should have been included in each game package.
It's not a must have, just a decent supplement for the serious NCAA Football game series fan.

If Im shelling out $60 for a game they should have included most of this information already. The "advanced" tips are really pretty basic and the info on all the teams is nice but not something i would have bought the guide for. The guild really does a good job of going through football 101 with formations and basic stratigies but not much beyond that. If you are a novice starting out, if you need to brush up on basic controls, or if you want a quick reference guide to all FBS teams then problably a good buy.

I have the Wii version of this game. This book DOES NOT cover the Wii at all (at least not in any helpful way)- despite the fact that IT SAYS IT DOES. This book shows some tips for other consoles - but not the Wii. There is nothing in here that will help you play this game on the Wii. It's a total, complete, rip-off for the Wii. If you own a Wii - do not buy this book under any circumstance. You will regret it completely. Most worthless book ever. I can't tell you how disappointed I am with this "book". You'd be better off throwing your money away. You don't have to pay shipping to do that.

Good quality Prima guide. Very informative guide. Great pictures and info on top schools and small schools as well. Tendencies shown are nice. Good info on different modes.

This is the first time I have ever purchased a game guide; I always felt like they were a rip off in some sense. However, our family has been playing NCAA Football on the XBOX for years and only recently started getting into the Dynasty mode and other in-depth features of the game.

The booklet that comes with the game itself doesn't explain at all how to best utilize this and other advanced features, and we originally perused the internet for more information. Last year, we found one well-written FAQ on how to properly recruit, etc. However, when we purchased the '09 version, this was a recommended add-on and I decided we should give it a try. For anyone who has not utilized the extended features of the NCAA Football games, I highly recommend that you purchase this book if you want to greatly enhance and extend your playing time.
